Great addition to your XT3 Garden Tractor Purchase
I purchased an XT3 GSX in 2019. My purchase information from YouTube. I watched feature reviews and a GTX enthusiast's reviews before my purchase. The enthusiast's was happy with his tractor and how it mowed but wasn't happy with ease cleaning the underside of the deck. He showed his mower's underside and it was a mess. I decided to upgrade the deck on a hope and prayer without any information from the web or from Cub Cadet. Please not the number of reviews on this page. No marketing information at all other than the price. Luckily, taking a chance was a good decision. The upgrade proved well worth the extra money. The deck is substantial and appears well designed. In general, mower reviews suggest that fabricated decks do not give the quality of cut that a stamped deck provides. I don't think most people could tell the cut difference between this deck and one that was stamped. This deck is a clean deck "standout" if you use the wash ports following each use. After nearly a year of use mowing dry grass the underside of the deck is free of clippings. There have been no grass traps that hold clippings. The 48" deck width suits my residential use. I chose the GSX with differential lock to handle a slope issue and I am happy with my purchase. Cub Cadet would do well to show a picture of the bottom of the deck so viewers can see the substantial the housing and the spindle mounts. The spindle size of the attachment nuts and the existence of separate partial enclosures for each blade suggests to me that this is a thoughtful design. Lastly, a promo video might be nice. An independent video review or two wouldn't hurt. People can't go to the local dealer and see this deck. There is nowhere to go to see a GSX or the deck. On a bad note, the information screen Cub Cadet puts on its mowers is the smallest. It is nearly impossible to read eliminating any real potential for a problem alert being seen.
