Brand new out of box leaks oil all over the place.
Contacted Club Cadet after one use, they gave me one of their authorized repair depot in Toronto. They looked at it and basically said this is normal for the 4 cycle and to ensure is stand it on end when not in use (Really). I bought this 4 cycle so I didn't have to mix gas any longer. Used second time, air filter spewed oil out, smoke, and oil leaks out all over the ground when running. I have no faith in this product nor Club Cadet's service. This is basically unuseable unless I want to fill the oil very time i use it. Poor service, poor quality product, and I will be ensuring I never purchase Cub Cadet again. This is obviously a seal problem right out of box and I don't have time to take it back again to service to be told this is normal. I will be telling people about my experince with the Club Cadet brand.

Doesnt start and barely runs
Purchased this product less than a year ago and it has always run poorly and lacking power and dying when trimming grass. Nothing crazy either just simple grass trimming. Now it is extremely hard to start, cold or hot. As soon as you start trimming it dies and runs extremely poorly. Very bad quality, would not recommend this product.
Not to mention the extremely long wait times to get in contact with a representative and poor customer service.

Absolute Nightmare to replace the trimmer head.
I bought this four or five years ago and found it adequate until the trimmer head broke on it and I needed to replace it. The head snapped around the bolt that connects to the lower shaft.
I finally got around to finding the correct head and ordering, only to find I still needed to remove the old bolt which was connected to the shaft/lower boom but with no way to lock the shaft.
I’m now looking up the parts that connect to the trimmer head and seeing that the only apparent option is to replace the entire lower boom vs the coupling at the bottom of that arm.
Every other tool I have that has a driveshaft has an easy way to lock it. Only videos I found for Cub Cadet that show how to lock the shaft are for completely different trimmers. Was going to ask Customer Service how to do it but they were not available.
Fixing my machine this one time but after this I don’t know if I’ll every buy Cub Cadet again as this last experience was beyond frustrating.
