Very Good Mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my purchase. The mower is sturdy, comfortable on flat smooth grass, and has enough power to manage my 4 acres. Features that must be included in future models, hour meter, and the same readout advising you when maintenance is due. The seat should be made with better suspension to reduce the bumps on uneven surfaces. The blades on the mower must be sharpened. They come very dull, and do not cut very well. I sharpened mine to the point you can shave with them. The cut is superb. All together it is a good machine for the homeowner.

Ok value for a ZTR
The good
1. Manufactured deck(not stamped out)
2. 23hp Kawasaki engine - just wish I could afford a liquid cooled engine
3. Comfortable seat and hand controls
4. Yes to headlights - led type
5. Very heavy duty frame.
Now the bad
1. No hour meter - it used to have one, now they got cheap - they even have a knock out for one(the covered it up) the connector still exists but just bypassed it
2. They also removed the deck clean out port no longer exists and they covered it up.
3. Very cheap(poor quality) bagger (crappy plastic shoot)
If they would just send out the parts(hour meter and deck wash out) it wouldn't take much to hook it up.
Verdict - a reasonablely priced ZTR with some drawbacks

Will be looking for a different Zero Turn,
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this ZT1-50 for about three (3) years now. Overall the mower is easy to maintain other then finding the correct filters. The mower has an issue with not cutting the grass correctly to the point I have to pass over an area twice in most cases. I believe that it is a design fault. I have tried regular blades (factory OEM) and the "Extreme Mulching" blades with the same result. Rows of uncut grass remain and have to be re-cut to do the job. With the price of gas climbing and EV mowers a joke I can ill afford this mower as I have a little over three (3) acres I have to cut.

ANOTHER GREAT BUT!

WHEN ARE YALL GOING TO SEND OUT A MOD TO CHANGE THIOS BACK LIKE IT WAS? I DONT NEED THE SUPER DUPER HIGH LIFT BLADES. THEY DONT CUT BAHIA WORTH A DAM!
YOU HAVE TO DRIVE SLOW AND THEN LOOK BACK AND SEE A LINE IN THE MIDDLE WHERE IT DIDNT CUT. MY OLD 42" CUB GOES RIGHT THRU IT, NO PROBLEM. MY OLD CUB HAS REGULAR BLADES. THIS MOWER WOULD HAVE RECEIVED A 5 STAR IF I COULD BUY BLADES OTHER THAN WHATS ON IT AND SAME CONFIGURATION.

Nice mower but blades are trash
After having just a regular lawn tractors for the past 22 years and mowing 4 acres, I bought my 1st Zero turn. After doing a lot of research I chose the Cub Cadet Ultima ZT1. It didn’t take long to learn and become comfortable using it and it has made a huge difference in the grass cutting time. The only complaint I have is only after mowing my property 3 times I already have to replace the blades. The salesman said he thought the blades were high lift, which I didn’t really want but I thought they would have lasted longer than they have. If you go and purchase this mower you might as well go ahead and get some extra blades.

It's a BEAST
My biggest complaint is their is NO hour meter that comes on it, you have to spend another $50 and put it on yourself which is not hard just a hassle, it would have been better just to increase the price $50 and have it come standard on it.
When I first used the mower it was very loud and had a lot of vibration, I'm hoping over time it will quite down some with less vibration.
Other than these two things I would have given it a 5 star.
Overall I'm pleased with the mower so far I have only mowed with it once, you can't go wrong with the Kawasaki engine.....I really wished it was offered on the ZT1 42 inch mower!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just a all out great mower!! I have owned several other zero turn mowers including John Deere, Kubota and Bad Boy and I have to say this one is my favorite by far. I have 5 acres of very hilly and uneven ground and it handles it very well. It doesn't Bog down at all in tall grass(10"+) or while cutting up hill it handles grade transitions very well. After owning other brands I will never not go back to these mowers! Only downfall is it did not come equipped with the hour meter but besides that I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a really good mower.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't believe Cub Cadet is not making an hour meter and fuel window/gauge as standard equipment on this mower.
Who wants to be 2+ acres from their shed and run out of fuel?
Better yet why not void your warranty by not keeping up with your maintenance at the proper intervals?
I have always used Cub Cadet, but have to consider switching to a Deere if Cub Cadet is going to get make decisions like this.
