So far only complaint I have is the blades aren’t very good or something. It seems to leave a lot of long pieces behind. But over all in this short time it had been good.

This mower needs help
I have always heard great things about Cub Cadet, so I looked into buying a zero turn when my riding mower quit on me. This mower doesn't cut evenly, I have to go over my lawn 3 or 4 times to get the cut that I want. It has no hour meter or fuel gauge. Pretty disappointed in this mower and wished i would have bought something else.

Has no issue cutting through the thick stuff without bogging down or dying. Dont think theres a better bang for your back on residential mowers i researched for hours and went with this

New Cub Cadet replacing an old one

Great ride

ZT1 50 overall impressions
I have used the ZT1 50 twice and already I know this mower is going to significantly outperform the John Deere 42" I had previously. The fabrication of the deck alone is far superior to my previous mower as well as the 2" tube construction of the body. The triple mowing blades mulch leaves and grass amazingly well and the reliability of the Kawasaki motor gives me peace of mind. This mower is built like at tank!! It is fun to drive and gets the job done quick!!

For purchasing a cub cadet was that any and all parts are locally available... I chose the 50 inch cut because the machine has a higher hp engine that the 42 inch...

Can't Go Wrong With The ZT1!!!

After doing research and getting to test several different makes and models... I ended up buying the ZT1 50. No regrets!!! Super easy to maneuver and maintain. The Kawasaki motors runs flawlessly!!! I added the mulching kit as recommended by my neighbors. It leaves my yard looking amazing!!!

Great mower
Nice mower. I have about 15 hrs on it now. Saves a lot if time compared to my old lawn tractor. Only things i would recommend are simple things. Keep a close eye on the oil level the first couple times you use this mower. The engine will use some oil during its break in period. Also, grease the front wheel bearings before first use. Mine started squeaking after the first hour of use.

Best purchase yet!

Only negative thing is a minor thing, missing a bolt on the bar that is over the engine behind the seat and one was also loose. Im sure it got looked over while being assembled at the dealer. But no big deal. Love the mower so far.

Love mowing grass now!

My Cub Cadet arrived by delivery truck and I had to attach the battery, attach the seat and lift and secure the roll bar. After putting in gas it started right up and started mowing. There was a small learning curve on steering but it didn’t take long.

SO FAR SO GOOD
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted another Country Clipper like the one I bought in 2003 and gave to my Son 2 years ago. I could not justify its $9500 price tag! If Cub Cadet had parts to still build the ZTS model (steering wheel) I'd have bought one of those from the hardware store dealer that used to carry CC and who has provided good service through the years. Bought this ZT1-50 for a reasonable price and it looks to be well built. My Son's CC has a 19HP Kawasaki that is still going strong in its 19th season, so the 23HP Kawasaki influenced my decision for the ZT1. Mowed for the first time today and have no issues with the quality of the cut or its lap bar steering. I AM going to have to trim all those low hanging branches I used to just push aside as I mowed. No free hand with lap bar steering - LOL. BTW for $10 I've bought an inductive hour meter like the one I mounted in about ten minutes on my 2022 60HP Honda Marine outboard. And for $18 Cub Cadet is sending the deck wash fitting that I will also install. People who care to provide good maintenance for their equipment should understand why Cub Cadet no longer installs parts that the majority of buyers simply ignore. For a reasonable price I also bought a replacement oil filter and air filter from them to put on my shelf. Cub Cadet should, however, be ashamed of the quality of the Owner's Manual and Replacement Parts List they provide for this machine! Printed on newsprint quality paper with several smudged sections. And they are filled with information with statements that it may, or may not, apply to the ZT1. Come on people! You have reference to lubricating all grease points every 10 hours without listing or illustrating them (do they even exist)? They show a "break-in oil change" after 5 hours, while the Kawasaki Owner's Manual makes no mention of any need. They list the multi-tool functions to include using it as a "lockout for the deck lift" with absolutely no further reference to uses beyond 1/2 inch socket for lap bar adjustment or removal of deck floor. And you list replacement parts without reference to which model they fit. Hopeful that this ZT1 last as long as the lawn tractor my father bought back in 2012.
