[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not a complete mulching kit if looking at the entire package. All clippings are funneled to the discharge chute where the clippings start clogging up. This leaves a very defined row of clippings in the yard. If you do opposite striping method, this leaves a pronounced line of clippings that get beat into the ground by the rear tires. In order to prevent matting down and killing the lawn, a lawn sweeper is required or you would need to rake up by hand. Missing some sort of method to keep clippings in each of three bays to get mulched better.

It works fine when it works, it does throw clippings all over the deck and feet and legs. i can deal with that but mine got a hole in the top of it before the first season was over. I do mulch a lot of leaves, top should be made of metal.

It works, but has some drawbacks.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was easy to install and it's mulching. However, this makes the mower blow grass on top of the deck like crazy. There are literally mounds of grass on the deck and it blows all over my legs now. Kind-of a pain.

Horrible. Had to take it off.

The ventilation gaps between the spindles and the deck have always caused grass to accumulate on top of the deck, but now with the mulching kit it’s horrible. The deck is now a lawn vac that discharges straight up into the bottom of the tractor and blows all over the operator. Cub is the only one I’ve seen that doesn’t have a tight seal between the spindles and deck, why????????
