Great bagger and a must have for your mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using a Craftsman tractor with a bagger for 12 years I was a little skeptical given some of the things I had heard about 0 turns and baggers. I have to say this one is amazing. I put it to the test right away. I thatched close to 2 acres and used this to pick up the waste. It did a great job. The diameter of the tube kept everything flowing nicely and being able to see it working through the clear tubing is a bonus. It's very easy to install and remove from the mower in fact the design is very well done with the attachments fitting together easily and with no gaps.

Not worth it
Bagger is horrible, not worth the money. I used it 3x and it barely collected grass. ZT1 54 was the mower I got with it and the mower is amazing. I wouldn’t waste my money on that bagger, I’m trying to figure something out with the dealer I got it from considering I drove 4 hours away.

Bag the bagger!
The original bagger design is perhaps the worst design I've ever seen/owned! Both lid clips broke off after one use. I am now using zip ties and bungee cords to hold it together. Absolutely awful! I have noticed that the new design does look better, but I haven't been able to get a close look at one - Cub Cadet should offer a replacement for the original design. It appears to be a little better, but still not great. My neighbor purchase a Hustler and the bagger design is very well thought out.

Installation book is a joke
So you pay crazy money for this item and it comes with instructions written by a 1st grader. Parts are left up to guesses. Its obvious they have no QA or someone would have tried the instructions and said. nope they are trash. Not enough detail where its needed and too much just left up for the buyer to guess which part is which as they do not link the parts and part number, instead choosing a list of random order with parts in random order so you cannot easily ID the parts. The part that kills me is the hardest part of trying to figure out the install is where they provide the least amount of detail.

Bagger Failed upon initial Use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my ZT1, the bagger i paid over $500 for, not so much. The first time i used it the plastic clips that hold the cover to the metal frame broke off. After a few more uses, the plastic clips on the other side broke too. I now use a bungee cord to hold the cover on! I spent well over $4,000 on the whole rig and I am using a bungee cord?!? The bagger works fine otherwise. I have clogged it up but that was my fault for not emptying it sooner. It's pretty easy to unclog so no complaints there. I would like to get replacement parts for what broke.

Not going to buy a bagger
After reading the issues and looking at the stats, I'm not gonna buy this bagger unless I see an actual unit in a store that's not made of plastic.....so be it! I just bought. An Ultima ZT1 54, but that's its until U se better results.

Great mower 5 stars but bagger total flop 0 stars
Purchased the Ultima ZT1 with Kawasaki 23HP engine in May 2021. Had done my research and delighted with mower. My neighbor used it twice this summer when his was out of service and was astounded on amount of time it cut off and how easy it was to operate.
Now to down side. I purchased the double bagger for my 50 inch deck and installed easily. However, the plastic material for securing the lid is flimsy and cheap which surprised me given the overall quality of the mower. Unfortunately, one clip broke after 2 mowings, so used a bungee cord for the rest of summer. Now with less than 50 hours use the second clip broke. Will reserve judgement until I get a response from customer service. Will keep you updated.

Poor quality
Bought with a new zt1 54. The top plastic section is very thin and has already broken. I had to use bungee straps and modify the top. I had a bugger for many years on a 2185, never had any problems. I now need another mower with a bagger, but sadly not sure about buying a cub.

Bagger not worth $500
Have had the same issues as many of these other reviews, bought my bagger back in May of 2019, and had issues almost immediately. I thought the bagger clogged easily at first, but I've gotten used to it (I know its limitations, mowed slower, emptied bags more often, etc.)
The real issue with this bagger is the plastic components, my mower works great and still looks brand new after two years, the bagger has completely fallen apart. It hasn't stayed closed since day one and the plastic clips that hold it to the metal bars are all broken. Very disappointed...

Steer Clear of this product!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Steer clear of this bagging system. I never write reviews, but this bagging system has been a disappointment.
Issues to date:
Side vent pops off
Cheap plastic clips that the housing on the frame are broken
Sealing gasket on the lid falls off.
iI clogs often and it is a pain in the A@@ to unclog.
I had this installed by the dealer
Buyer Beware
Clip that holds the lid closed broke off

Terrible product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this bagger for two years. In that time I have had something break almost every time I use it. Have screwed all the plastic hood parts to the metal frame to keep it from falling off, all plastic clips have broken.
Had to use hose clamps to keep the top on, rod that keeps that on keeps falling out of the plastic clips. Since the third use I use a C clamp to hold the opening closed while mowing.
Can’t believe a company would make such a cheap product for a great mower.

Missing Parts
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s missing the metal rod that keeps the lid on, couldn’t wait for parts so used it anyways. Clogs like everyone talks about, doesn’t really hold a lot of grass, wish I knew they made a 3 bagger(bought it at local store) Couldn’t figure out how to order replacement parts. Side note, kind of annoying that zero turn doesn’t come with basic accessories like hour meter. Like it’s a cheap add on, but for $3600 mower you can’t just include the basic stuff most mowers have on them?

Works Great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to assemble. Works great. Even bags long wet grass without clogging, just go a bit slower.
Others complained about it being plastic-some parts are, but it's strong metal where it needs to be.
Only have to remove one bolt to remove the bagger and two bolts to remove the front weights.

The plastic parts are brittle
I bought this bagger in the spring of 2020. Within the first year the integrated clips that hold the cover to the grass bag support snapped off. Then the latch that holds the cover closed broke off on one side. Then while taking the hood off a piece of it literally snapped off. Since it was over a year this was not covered under warrantee.

Kind of works
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation was easy but doesn’t work very well. Very small capacity and the hard plastic tube plugs up continually while mowing at a slow speed. Requires you to stop and disassemble the tube delivery system and put back together and mow for a few minutes. Works better if you mow and let clippings lay on lawn and turn brown then go back after clippings is dry and pick up with bagger unit. But that requires mowing two different times when it should only be once.

BAGGER Cheaply Made
You better have duck tape and bungee cords ready. Out lawnmower is only a year old. The second time we used the begging, the clips broke and you will need duct tape and the bungee cords to hold the bagger togeather. All of the clips that attach the cheap plastic pieces snapped. The bags work pretty well but is hard to take off since I have to duct tape the flap down so the grass clippings don’t come back out. I should have asked for a replacement because this occurred within the first month of purchase.

Regarding assembly, clogging, and rail attachment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installation was a bit more involved than what I believed it would be based on the reviews I read. I have dumped the bags ~25 times and the chute clogged only once. (Although it was difficult to clear the one time it clogged) Several reviews expressed dissatisfaction with the bags that "clip" onto the rails. I presume Cub Cadet modified the bags because my bags lay on top of the rails (3 of the 4 sides), have no clips, and seems to be sturdy.

Plastic parts are cheap and break off
Had to wait for this as it was not initially available when I purchased the ZT1-54 (which is a great mower except for trying to find blades which are never in stock locally). In any case the plastic latches have broken that keep the lid closed so ghetto bungie time. But this resulted in one bag coming off and ripping so had to use an older cub cadet bag from a previous model I had which doesn't fit well. They don't sell just the part with the plastic tabs so another $600 to replace the same defective bagger with the same bagger is a fail. The few times the chute got plugged I was impressed with how easy it was to disconnect the hose and clear it---that's a great design, too bad the rest of the bagger is so poorly designed. Hard to recommend a cub cadet mower when this bagger is the only option.

This bagger does a wonderful job.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quite easy to put together but wow, the box weighed 120 lbs and approx 1/2 were the counter weights for the front of the mower. What I particularly like is how easy it is to disconnect the feeder and hose if I don't want to pick up the clippings. I have part of my yard I want looking manicured and the other can be not as manicured :) The only negative would be the catch to open the bagger is flimsy and a little tricky to open at times.

Does not keep grass in!!!
I bought this hoping the reviews were false or out of date. Boyyyyyyy was I wrong. Assembly was alright but once I started cutting my yard, grass was on me more than anything. It was flying out from the flap and anytime I hit a corner, reversed, or a u-turn grass is shooting out everywhere. Do not buy unless they update it. It is also wayyyyyy overpriced for the quality you are getting. Do not buy.

Grab your bungee cords
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honest review. Love the mower but every attachment is garbage. This clogs constantly the tube is shredded to pieces the pin that holds the lid on fell out in the yard, I have bungee cords holding a 4k machine together. Completely complete garbage. The zt1 50” is outstanding, just wish the bagger worked and the yard stripe worked properly properly. The stripe roller snapped in half bent the deck attachment sites.

Wanted to love it, but severely disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought new in 2020. Put it together was fine. I questioned to myself why they would choose the ridged plastic and in so many part for the top of the bagger, but what do I know. First use, tapped ever so lightly while maneuvering around my fence; first clip broke, first zip tie applied. After that, top fell off on a bump, second clip broke. Few months later, the weird choice of a tab that keeps the bagger shut and debris from blowing out broke. As of today it is held together with zip ties and I use velcro to keep the lid latched. I have a 15yr old rider with a bagger and its still tip top. This thing wasnt designed to last a year. Its a shame because I love my mower. Bottom line is until there is an upgraded model id steer clear of this unless they start giving them away for free

Getting Ready to Replace the Lid for the 3rd Time
The clips that hold the lid to the frame have broken again. The clips that hold the lid shut have both broken. The gasket keeps falling off. Bungee Cords and Zip Ties have kept me going, but it’s to the point that I need to replace the lid. On top of everything, I can’t seem to find the correct lid. Mine is a 3 piece lid assembly. I only see one piece assembly on this site. Hesitant to order because I am not sure it is the correct one.
