Not low enough for cool season grasses
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to go with my ZT1 50” which I love but it did not give me any new results. The roller is not low enough for mowing 3” or higher. I ended up building my own tow behind to get adequate results. This could be fixed with a lowering system for the shaft and rollers easily.

Excellent striping kit for the price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have mowed 2 times since I got my ZT250. The dealership installed this stripper for me. I didnt have big expectations due to its very low entry point. The other ones like check mate and others were much more expensive. I would have eventually got one of those, but decided hey, what the hek, Ill give it a go. So far, it stripes great and I have no issues with it so far. Maybe it needs more weight for some people or spring loaded to push down, but for me, it works awesome.

No need for a striping kit on ZT1
I don't know about everyone else but I get really good stripes with my ZT1 50" without a striping kit. I mow in 2 different directions and alternate every week. I now have an awesome diamond pattern that absolutely pops.

Bought and installed, doesn't work at all you have better strips from the rear wheels than you do the $112 kit will be taking off and sending it back save your money... Junk, worthless.

Awesome if you DO NOT Follow instructions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me see if I can help some of you out. Either by saving you time, money, or a combination of both. First and foremost grab a match, and light the instruction manual on fire. Now, let’s start from scratch. The kit is a simple install(10 minutes)if you have two handy tools. 1) an impact driver 2) a jack.
Step. 1: jack up one side of your mower. Step 2: place your bolt in the top hole of the bracket only. Then align with the lowest hole of the “pre-drilled” hole(this is where the impact comes in handy, it will punch directly through.) repeat across for the remaining 2 brackets(obviously put 2 rollers on each side of middle bracket) tighten the oversized nut, and done!
Set mower at 3.5” or lower. I am in the northeast , so we like it long. Now mow! Most of the negative reviews stem from poor instruction, as opposed to poor product. If I had one complaint it’s if you use the pre-drilled holes in the mower deck, the striper will be off center!! Creating an awkward stripping pattern in your lawn.
I live on a wooded lot, I’m surrounded by trees and have a mashup of grass, moss, some weeds, and dormant annual grass. This was my first cut after install. I took one star for the offset. (You can tap your own holes and center it. However that’s work)

Strip kit
I got the strip kit for a gift. Before receiving it I researched as much as I could (there was not much out there). This does not work, I mow at 3.5 inches and it doesn’t make much contact to the grass. Don’t buy and waste your money.

Take your money and set it on fire
Have had for 2 months now. Leaves no stripes in grass! I mow at 3”. It is the worst purchase I have ever made. It is installed on a Zt2 54” cut.

I installed the kit per the directions. The roller barely comes in contact with the grass....(I cut at 3"). I'm going to attempt to mount it lower, or it's going back.

Striping Kit

One big problem. I installed on a ZT2 50".
It does not cover tire to tire so leaves a striping gap.
Edge of striping kit reaches to edge of left tire, but is about 6" short of right tire.
How hard can it be to make it tire to tire? Poor design.

Disappointed so far

Tried to install it on my ultima zt1 50”, but the provided six “screws” do not fit into the pre-made holes in the back of the deck. Looks like I’ll need to make a trip to the hardware store. Review on the striping to kit to follow once I have it installed.

Works Great, But....
Lays great stripes, obvious difference from when it was not installed. That being said, I installed it the way I was instructed, but it did not hardy touch the grass when I mow at 3.5" so I had to remove the deck again and lower the kit to the bottom holes. Big difference, but not sure why I was instructed to install it at the height I was.

Striping kit Awesomeness

With the mulch kit I needed only a small alteration to hold the plug in place. The striping kit gives an extra clean look even if the cut is a bit long for a solid stripe.

Great Quality Stripe Kit (Ignore Bad Reviews)
This stripping kit has a lot of mixed reviews, but I'm glad I decided to buy this at the beginning of 2023 mowing season. Lays good quality "homeowner" stripes that will make your neighbors wonder what you're doing different.
First off, it's a simple kit, including the mounting brackets and self tapping threaded screws to attach to your mower deck. However, this can't be done with a normal hand tool, you'll need a corded or cordless drill or impact to get the job done with ease. One of several reasons for some bad reviews who clearly tried hand tools for the installation. Also anyone can do this installation with the right tools!
Second, the brackets are personal preference, even though the instructions say to mount them higher than what you can by using just one hole, instead of the two it calls for. Common sense, install per factory instructions if you mow below 3", install with just bottom hole on deck and top hole on bracket with one screw, if mowing above that. Both setups work fine and holds up well to normal bumpy terrain and abuse you'd expect with mowing. (If your not sure where you need to be at, install them, lower the deck down to your desired height and look at it from the side to see if the rollers sit on the ground or are too high, adjust accordingly.) Screws can be loosened/removed/re-installed.
Third, this isn't a professional grade striping kit, this is a homeowner version, but still great quality. What I mean by this, if you want bold lines that last for 2+ weeks at a time, you're going to have to mow your yard twice in one mowing, as most professional mowing companies do at businesses who don't wanna spend the $$$ for a pro kit. A single pass does lay the lines/stripes better than normal mowing conditions, but sometimes you just want that Golf Course or Million Dollar Home quality with an extra pass, and it makes a huge difference!
Overall, I'm extremely happy with this striping kit for my 50" zero turn mower. I've had it over 2 seasons of mowing now, on a mixture of 4 acres of flat and hilly surfaces with hard clay soil and the rollers hardly show any signs of wear from use. Would highly recommend for the Mower Enthusiast!

Not worth the money

Bad striping kit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a striping kit for my 54” deck Cub Cadet mower, which I absolutely love. However, the striping kit was a huge disappointment. The screws provided didn't fit properly, making installation a nightmare. Additionally, the overall build quality felt incredibly flimsy and cheap. It’s frustrating to buy an accessory that doesn’t match the quality of the mower itself. I do not recommend this product.

Great striping kit for ZT1 50”
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to write a review for this striping kit because if installed properly they leave great stripes in your yard even at 3.5” cuts. My lawn looks fantastic after cutting at 2.75 or 3” every time and I’m glad I made this purchase. I have a ZT1 50” deck and I installed them on the lowest holes I could. They perform exactly how I wanted and would recommend to anyone looking for some good stripes in their yard.

Save your money. Rollers are not low to ground!

When I bought it, I had the striping kit and mulching blades put on it at the dealership before it was delivered. The strapping kit does not strripe and the mulching blades are junk as well. I’ve wasted my money on both and also think I’ve wasted my money on this mower because it leaves high grass and it’s not mowing like a new zero turn should.

After ordering a mulch kit which didn't fit the crankshafts that were on the ZT1 50" mower, I decided to cancel the lawn striping kit because getting the mowing deck on and off is quite an effort and not worth the "nice to have" striping attachment.
