Rated 3 out of 5 by from Excellent, Good, Bad, & Ugly Excellent on hills, side hills around shrubs and trimming. The deck is offset to the left so you can reach out further with the cutting edge. The Steering column and wheel is a plus for those who don't like the lap bars but mine moves around some. It turns and drives excellent with out tearing up your yard and descends hills very well. Deck height adjustment is a breeze. The bad, this is the worst clumping mower i have ever owned. even cutting 2" tall dry grass above desired finished height it throws clumps in all engine RPM range. The high vacuum blades makes it very loud so wear hearing protection. Fuel economy is not good at all, my estimate is about 2+ gallons per acre. The Ugly. The parking brake is a very poor design and I question some owners can even operate it. Fix the clumping, make it quieter, better fuel economy and a sensible park brake you will have a real kick butt mower at an affordable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this machine!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mower is amazing, I switched from a craftsman lawn tractor and cut mowing time in half. The seat is so comfortable and the steering is easy. I was worried about how difficult accomplishing the "Zero Turn" would be its literally less than 1 turn of the wheel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine and smooth performer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 4 months of I use this machine has impressed. I really enjoy the steering wheel to allow for one handed driving. The cut is great, as well as the ride and comfort level of mowing for 2 hours periods. Only wish is that my 150 lb body would be heavier so the bigger ruts would not turn off the blades. Great machine overall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, meets marketing hype [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I admit, a zero turn with a steering wheel seemed silly. What's the point? Well, on the recommendation of my local dealer I decided to give this unit a go. The Kohler engine that I'm familiar with, the bigger rear tires, and the 2800 wheel motors helped with my decision vs a smaller model. The first time I used it I was tickled and for the first time ever, I'm eagerly waiting to mow the next time. This unit meets the marketing hype with it's performance on hills, holds the ground very well without slipping or sliding out in the rear, has a very smooth cut, plenty of power to go up hills while cutting without losing speed, and mows around trees like a zero turn should, all the while going up or down the hill. My tractor would fuss and push out in front doing this. All in all the performance of this unit has cut my mowing time by a third and I anticipate it getting even better as I learn the machine and get more comfortable with it. If I had a complaint it would be the seat doesn't adjust to the rear far enough. I'm 5'11 and short legged, the seat all the way to the rear is almost still too short. Something for long legged or tall people to check out on the lot before purchase. Be sure you fit the machine. An observation. Due to the nature of the synchrosteer system, one cannot turn this machine around within it's own foot print. This is because you cannot reverse the inside wheel like you can with lap bars so one wheel turns backward while the other goes forward. The best you can do is stop the inside wheel while the outside wheel turns forward which is good for a nice tight turn and gives a true zero degree turn. Just a heads up for those who may need the ability to turn the machine inside it's own space. I really enjoy this machine and will recommend it to anyone with similar needs to my own. If my property was sans hills I would have gone with lap bars but this machine accels on hills just like it's supposed to and is highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A mowin' in the 802 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Performs as stated. Way better than lapsers. Handles hills with easy. Mower deck raises high enough above the rocky turf of Vermont.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great on hills [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is great when trying to turn on a hill. Does not slide like a lap bar zero-turn. But it is different. Still getting used to it.
