Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zero Turn Excellence [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never owned a zero turn mower because I was concerned about learning how to use the levers and about tearing up the yard by turning too quickly. I bought this one since it uses a steering wheel instead of the levers. I've hated mowing the lawn for years, but this mower actually makes it fun again!! The machine has intuitive controls and a solid construction. I'm very happy with this purchase and look forward to many years using this machine!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ZTS146 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mower! Cuts hills with ease. My only complaint is for the cost you would think it would have a wash out on the deck, and at the least an hour meter. And if you get the bagger for the 46, you need an add on kit for the counter weights that costs an additional 50.00

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower a month ago after having surgery and diagnosed with cancer. My wife wanted to learn to mow and the ZTS 1 was one she was comfortable with. The day we bought it, my surgeon took away all restrictions and my oncologist said I would be cured. I’m impressed with the zero turn and with a steering wheel. I have several towable attachments and this mower handles them is ease. My wife loves the mower as well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my mower for about a month now. It’s a powerful machine. The steering wheel steering has allowed me to mow very steep slopes without slippage. I mow on slopes greater than 20 degrees without any problem. I toe with it. I couldn’t be happier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Miss my Toro I purchased this mower exclusively because of the zero turn steering wheel model. Reviews are favorable, so I took a chance. First time using it (with the mulch kit installed) it choked out and stalled once, so had to go very slow and cut half widths. Even doing that it left a strip of uncut grass right down the middle of the cut. Taking the mulch kit off next time to see if that’s the problem. If it is then I highly discourage anyone from purchasing this mower if they want to mulch. Think I made a poor purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good mower - bad accessories [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't buy this mower if you plan to bag, mulch, or anything like that. The accessories SUCK. The mower itself is great. If all you want to do is side discharge your clippings you will probably be happy with it. The mulch kit doesn't actually block the discharge area, so stuff will fly out constantly. The bagger will tear, break, or otherwise disappoint you (go read the reviews). This just isn't a well-supported product. It does a great job on hills that are steep, and that is why I bought it. My hills are just a little too steep for a traditional zero turn. If you only have moderate hills, the traditional zero turn will let you mow more efficiently than this model because you can do "forward, reverse, forward, reverse" much more seamlessly with them. I'm clicking the "recommend" button ONLY because I think this is the safest mowing option for steep hills. I really wish I owned a different mower that had good accessories.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mower - Needs Seat Adjustment Options I purchased this mower in May 2023 after some extensive research. Overall I am pleased with the quality of the machine but the seat needs to have more options to adjust, specifically the angle of recline. I have a history of back issues and after mowing several times I was in considerable pain every time due to the seat position being at a slight reclining angle back. The seat can be adjusted to be closer to the steering wheel but not the angle of the back rest. I had to secure a wood block below the seat to angle it more upright - since I did that I can mow without any pain but I feel it would be helpful for future customers to have the seat redesigned so recline angle is adjustable. Other than that, I am very pleased. It is a very sturdy machine that can mow much faster than my previous one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the zero turn steering wheel model [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I love it. The only con I have is that it has surged from day one, low to mid speed. Once PTO is engaged it goes away. Really a hassle to have to wait on this to be resolved during mowing season. The surging is the only problem I have with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine for slopes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 2 weeks ago and couldn't be happier. This mower is fantastic. My yard is 1 acher and 80 percent of it is on a slope. This mower makes easy work of it cuts my mowing time in half.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mower. Wish they paid attention to details. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mower. Battery died after 8 hours. Wish seat stayed up when accessing battery. Roller is a worthless accessory. Only sits 1” below deck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best of lawn mower with a steering. This is the second season 2023, that I have the ZTS1 46. I love it. Able to incline the steering and I added a steering ball and can adjust it to my preference. It is build tough. If you go from a lawn tractor to the ZTS1 46. Is like going from a car to a full-size pick-up truck. They are a learning curve. But it is worth it. / But they re is couple thing that I find annoying. You must buy to complete the land mower, the hour meter or the deck wash and the huge price for the arm rest. And I only install the right armrest. The left one is annoying when dismounting. / But the use of the ZTS1 46 is easy to learn and use efficiently once (coming from a lawn tractor) you are at ease whit the length of the rear. Because you cannot see it. The view from the front and the space for the feet are super and it is easy to get in and out. The speed to cut grass is fun. The suspension is little rough and the seat as a strange incline. I solve that problem buy adding seat spring from an old lawn tractor and moving the seat backward. They re is no brake like on a lawn tractor. You must use the parking brake or the gas pedal when excessive braking is needed. Like going on an incline trailer. / The other annoying thing are with the accessories. The bagger is too easy to plug up. And since the bag are so far behind the zero turn you have no choice than to dismount to see if it is plug or not (or full). Let’s be honest, I don’t use the bagger to pick up ¼ inch clipping. The bagger had another 2 feet to the rear. I Have to be very careful in turning for not hitting object. It like the rear of a school bus. And the lid doesn’t stay open by itself most of the time. And to hook it on the Zero turn. horrible is the key word. And to store it when not need it. I had to make a stand for it. The mulch kit cover. I had to bolt a 2 inches steel lip to make it to seal. Now it works as it should. I have no regret buying the ZTS1 46 this is a keeper.
