Rated 1 out of 5 by from Single stage snow blower Cub Cadet This machine was bought 2 years ago. First snow removal the auger and shave plate came off. Bolts screws etc in the snow. The next thing cover was cracked (warranty repair). Winterized as per manual wouldn't start. In for repair. Call back no warranty as you didn't winterize it properly. Our cost $165.00. Pick up try to start it. Started but would not stay running. Repair shop again. Jets were plugged. This machine has not been run maybe total one hour. What kind of warranty is this. You do anything to get out of fixing this piece of garbage. Don't buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just OK I've owned this snow blower for 3 winters. I found two problems with this unit. The cable controls for the shoot height adjustment freeze up after about 5 minutes of use. I called the factory and they said they had no fix for it so I removed it completely and made a manual adjustment for it. The other problem is the paddles wear out much faster than my last snowblower. Everything else on the unit is fine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lemon Buyer be aware I purchased this machine a couple of years back. I have had all the issues everyone on this review has had. This machine is a complete lemon, and should have a total recall. The bolts vibrate off, the handlebars come loose, the machine is very poorly made. The customer support is even worse they dont try to make things right but rather look for bandaid solutions. Buyer be aware this is a complete waste of money, and the warranty, good luck, the customer support from Cub Cadet has been lack lustre at best.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Simple design fix would make a huge difference I've had mine for 3 years now. Always starts great and throws snow really far. But my annoyance has reached a boiling point at the stupid design around the wheels. The left wheel especially constantly stops rolling because there's such a tiny clearance around the wheel - so the wheel picks up snow and grows like a snowball until it stops that wheel, which make for really difficult pushing. I have to stop about every 10 feet to kick the packed slush off the wheels. I literally end up with sore toes after I finish my driveway and it probably adds about 10 or 15 minutes to the job every time. This is bad during thick heavy packable snow, but the fact that the exhaust blows out right by that left wheel ensures that it's a problem even when it's really cold. It's hard for me to believe that Cub Cadet did any testing, ever, in real world conditions. Very very frustrating. Giving the wheel about an inch of clearance would take care of the problem (there's only about 1/4" now). Maybe I need to look for some smaller wheels or something, I don't know. Or sell the dang thing and never buy Cub Cadet again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad wheel design. Have had this machine for a few years and used it very little until this week. This thing is terrible to use because of the left wheel clogging with snow. Did the engineering team even test this design before putting it out? I think cub cadet should either find a retrofit solution to the problem or compensate the unfortunate purchasers. By back is killing me today from dragging this thing up and down my driveway. Not Happy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheap wheels render an otherwise OK machine useles I purchased Cub Cadet 1X 21" snow blower on 09/11/2020 for $649 just for snow removal from a large deck and patio. It starts, runs, and blows snow just as expected. However, the exhaust points to the left wheel, warming it up so snow sticks to it and it jams, making it slide in one direction. Snow eventually builds up on right wheel, too. Trying to knock the snow off is pointless, because the wheels will fall off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best unit I have used from downgrade from 2stage [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I downgraded from a two stage which was an overkill for my property. I got this as a recommendation from my landscaper. The best feature is auger that literately brushes the floor eliminating the need for salt. The chute does not clog even under heavy conditions. My advise keep ahead of the snow fall. I usually never let snow accumulate no more than 1 foot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from absolute junk Bought this single stage snow blower 2 year ago. The left wheel gets stuck and the right wheel keeps falling off. Had in repairs under warranty every season several times. Also the machine vibrates excessively which probably causes the wheel to fall off. Approved repair shop does not know and is not able to fix. This snow blower is overpriced junk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from just plowed a 300 ft Drive and a base of 40 sq ft Bought this with some hesitation because I did not think it would do the job. Was I Wrong we had 14 inches of snow and this machine handled it with ease, I read the reviews about the wheel problem and it happens but no big deal. I worked till the propeller broke but that was my fault. Great Machine glad I bought it

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rear wheel So has Cub come up with an update to the rear left wheel problem, that has been mentioned in all of the reviews. I am 64yrs, and having to push this around is making my shoulders hurt. I also clear two other driveways (older neighbours) and really not liking this machine. I too, might have to look for something else.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It will do [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like other reviewers this is our 3rd year owning this snow blower. We live in the northeast and last year we didn’t even use it. Today we had our first snow of the year with Snow Storm Gail. Our first year and so far this year, the left wheel sticks like crazy and snow just clumps on it. The shoot will go left and right but not up and down. After the first year, we did have it services and winterized and the service people said it was all fixed with new cables, but they still couldn’t get the shoot to work correctly. I am 61 yr old married woman and my husband just had knee surgery. With well over a foot of snow and going out numerous times with the snowblower it took twice as long as it should to get done as I had to keep stopping to pick it up and kick the tires to get them moving not to mention with the shoot not working correctly everything blows right back into your face! On the good side - I do like how easy it is to start!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed with cub cadet This snow blower is the worst one I ever owned, it is 3 years old and has never worked right since I bought it, the dealer I bought it from is even less helpful, I would not only not recommend it I would warn anyone who would listen do not buy this product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good unit worth it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this product for three years now. I am very happy with the performance. The electric start feature is nice. It's strong enough to even pull slush.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very poorly made This snowblower is 4 years old now and the parts are falling off from the vibration The shroud cracked and the controls don't work any longer. Don't consider this snowblower and look to Honda or Toro.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tire width [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The wheels should be wider in dimension so they ‘float’ better on the ground/snow. Other than that it works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You don't need the electric starter. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I unpacked, assembled, added oil and gas. I wanted to see how hard it was to pull start. FIRST PULL! AWESOME!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Equipment Bad Warranty Help I bought this Snow Blower from a retailer (Lowes) Jan 2022. I barely used it last winters and this season I have used the machine mere couple times only. Couple days ago, While I was using the machine, (Maybe snow was a little heavier) it halted. Upon trying to restart again, It didn't and instead I smell some burnt odor from the engine. I am trying to get hold of Cub Cadet Canada to see if this is under warranty. They directed me to the nearest equipment dealer. 1. The authorized dealer confirmed this is the only unit they do not sell. 2. I am asked to take it to the dealer (it's not an easy equipment to transport around) and only then they can determine if the issue is under warranty or not. 3. there is an upfront diagnostic fee as well that customer has to pay. in case the fault is found not to be under warranty then customer has to bear all costs. I'll still recommend this product because my dad have the 3x snow thrower and it is functioning excellent for past 4 years now. Also, Cub Cadet is one of the best brands out there. I just feel like the steps Cub Cadet ask a customer to go through, simply puts them off to go through warranty. I have had experience with my power washer many moons ago - and at that time they customer service was much more appreciated as they took the information and then simply replaced my unit.
