Website is wrong and they make you pay!
I ordered this mulch kit for my mower because on the fact that I entered the model number and it says it will fit. However, it doesn’t and I needed the fast attach but the website says it won’t fit my mower based on the model number. They screwed up and now I have to pay more money because return shipping is my cost…Complete rip off! That Kubota is looking better and better each day!

Poor design of mulching plug
Whoever designed this plug should be fired. It leaves a huge gap big enough to stick a thumb into. Grass flies up around my face non stop while mowing. I have to wear goggles and a mask. Pathetic. Question here. When you got the first one and installed it why the heck you didn't correct this design says you don't give a crap I'm trying duct tape and spray foam. Pathetic.

Works well for mulching leaves.

So far it's working as well as I had hoped and by mowing before the leaves get too deep I've been able to avoid raking. Eventually I expect the leaves to get too deep but I hope to chop them up enough to reduce the volume.

Hard to install
I purchased this mulch kit along with a bagger when i got my new zt1-50. It came nicely packaged. I tried installing this for a couple hours and could not figure out how mulch plug is supposed to fit the deck. I ended up putting my bagger on so the mulch kit is just sitting on the shelf now. Maybe i will try to figure it out again this fall.

Poor design
The plastic guard attachment does not fit well after less than a full cutting season. It is starting to break and grass ends up shooting out of it. I had to sharpen the mulching blades myself to get them to cut well. Additionally, the kit seems to clump a lot. I love my XT1 mower, but this mulching kit is absolutely the worst.

Fixed the clipping storm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy with the way this kit fit my 50" welded deck. I did get a dust and clipping storm the first time I mowed with it, but found it was blowing up through the spindle holes. Plugging the holes with foam packing solved the problem. Subsequent mowings have been great!

AVOID AT ANY COST
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Blades did not match the s\z shaped key on the mower deck they have the star cut out which does not lay flat, blades arrived with blunt ends - not even close to sharp, plastic insert is for the wrong deck - have waited on hold for CS for hours with no resolve.

Mulching Blades - They Need Work
Bought the mulch kit. Sorry I did. It may work will if you are cutting 1/32" of an inch of the top or your grass. Anything longer is a disaster. I also tried the mulching blades without the kit installed. Disappointed in the quality of the cut. You are better off with the regular blades.

Compatible? Actually, no.
The stamped metal blades were designed for a different crankshaft than what my mower has, even though it was "compatible" with the ZT1 50". Maybe I received a different version. Ultimately, the crankshaft nut wasn't seated enough to be safe and I was unable to use this product on my mower.

Gets the job done, could fit a little better
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I should've bought this years ago. Works as advertised and great for yards with a lot of small leaves, sticks, etc. The only complaint is that after use, the bottom edge of the baffle seems to come out of the lip on the cast mower deck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to install. Had to go extremely slow through thick oak leaves. Ended up blowing them about to thin them out so the mower wouldn’t stall. Too fast probably damages the belt drive.

This is a quality product. After a month of mowing, I haven’t had an issue with its mulching ability. I imagine most negative reviews of this product are by people who mow too fast or let their grass get too tall in between cuts.

Completely Wrong!
Nothing fits. The plastic cover/diverter is completely wrong & the blades had a star pattern, not the two tab design I have. Matched online, not in real life. Do not order this online.

The mulch kit plug is not a good fit and grass clippings blow out. The worst part is no one seems to make a replacement for it, even aftermarket. At least I can't find it.
