Replaced a walk behind snowblower
I bought this 2 winters ago after my snow blower quit working late in the season. I love how great this works and don’t even use my snowblower anymore! It took about 2 hrs to put together and mount with detailed instructions. The best feature is you can angle the blade left or right while sitting on the seat, it makes moving the snow in the right direction quick and easy.
I have an XT-2 GX54, and I have no problem pushing snow around with no weights or chains. Only the wettest snow will cause any problems, then I just use half blade passes.
Once set up it is easy to attach or remove with the mounting bracket that stays bolted to the front of the lawn tractor.
I highly recommend this, as it has exceeded all my expectations!

Worst plow blade ever!
This is my second winter with this blade and its absolutely terrible. Other than being easy to attach, the design is total crap. As others have mentioned, the spring is very weak and the blade turns over with any heavy snow, will not push it. Even worse is the bike brake style mechanism to raise and lower the blade, it works 1 out of 10 times. To lower the blade you must lean so far down that your weight comes off the seat and the engine shuts off (I weigh over 200 pounds). You are lucky if the blade lowers after several tries. And every time you push the snow into and mound, the blade raises, so this happens very often. Called customer service but they will not replace as I am past the 30 day warranty. You will be making a huge mistake buying this poorly designed plow blade.

Absolute garbage
Bought this a month ago and found out I got 2 right side mounting brackets so customer service had to have a left side sent over. Then when I get it put together the left side won't actually slide into the fast attach part on the mower so the thing won't go on anyways. Seems like no single part was designed by the same person and the quality is awful. I rarely review anything but this is the only product I have ever hated so much I've given it a single star. I truly regret purchasing any cub cadet product

Not enough weight to do the job
I thought this would be a good choice for my XT1LT42 and I have a 70ft driveway that's fairly flat. I read all the reviews before purchasing. I'm so disappointed. We've had two snow falls this year - 8 inches and 5 inches. Both times I've gotten stuck more times than I can count. I'm afraid to finish the driveway because there's a slight incline and I don't want it to get stuck at the end of the driveway with me alone having to push it in the snow. Now the blade is stuck at a right angle, this is the 2nd time in as many uses. I could add chains and/or weights, but those reviews are terrible and I feel like I'm throwing good money after bad. If I can return it, I will.

Terrible Assembly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last week and can’t get the plow to attach to the mower due to poor assembly brackets. I’ve tried two different ones and dealer said they’ve had same issues on the other. I’ve wasted hours trying to get this together thinking I did something wrong but it’s the product itself. Taking well over a week to get parts and assemble properly and can’t even get it to attach to my mower. Would not recommend.

Works as it should
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this in 2019 and it works OK except there needs to be shims on the blade rod so it does not slip from 1 side to the other. When it slips it will not release to lower, I shimmed mine and it works fine now, but this should have been done at the factory. Also the trip spring is too weak they used to have 2 springs on them. I put a turn buckle on mine, it works fine now for plowing. I use it on an XT2 GX 54D tractor.

Snow plow OK, disappointed with technical support.
Item was received with a wrong part. Received 2 left mounting brackets but need 1 right and 1 left. Called Customer Service but the part numbers listed in the manual that came with the item matched nothing in Cadet's system. Really? The agent tried to be helpful and thought she found the correct part number. Part was sent, took 11 days to arrive (supposed to be 3 to 5), and was the wrong part! Looking at the drawing on your website I can understand the confusion. I had to find the correct diagram on another parts site & I sent that information with the correct part number, photos etc to Cadet via e-mail. Zero response. Gave up on Cadet & purchased the required part from another parts supplier on my own. Annoying to receive the wrong part, but stuff happens & I can understand. That said, it is downright pathetic that you don't have accurate drawings for equipment you sell and I needed to go to a third party to resolve this problem.

Don't buy a Cub Cadet plow!
The plow arrived with missing and damaged parts. After waiting a couple of weeks for the missing part to arrive, I finished assembly. One of the adjustment cables arrived damaged, but I tried to just fix it myself. Design is terrible. The plow folds over under the slightest of force thanks to the weak spring. Now on the first snow I tried to use it and after a couple of passes the blade won't lower because the cable came loose. I'm considering selling this tractor and plow and buying a green one which I probably should have done in the first place.
