Beautiful Cub Cadet signature cut
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old Cub Cadet 2166 came with a 42" deck and it gave a beautiful cut plus was easy to remove and service so bought another 42" deck with my XT3 GS. This deck gives just as beautiful cut and being older with health conditions the size makes it easier for me to service. There are a 3 things I wish were different on this deck when compared to my other deck. This deck only has 2 anti scalp wheels located up front whereas the old deck had 2 in front and 2 in the rear. I know this had to be done for clearance of the increased size of the rear wheels but it it makes sliding the deck out from under the tractor a little more challenging. I place a couple of little3 wheel dollies under the rear edge of the deck to keep the bottom from sliding across my shop's concrete floor. The biggest hurdle of this deck is the pto belt spring tension release lever that requires using an external 1/2" drive pull bar. This requires you to hold the pull bar back with one hand while it's under tremendous spring tension then reach in to remove the belt from the pulley with the other hand, that is if nobody else is there to assist. The 2nd time I went to change my blades the pull bar slipped and being under heavy spring tension hit my knee which made a really bad bruise and knot that lasted a week. My old 42" deck had a built in lever arm that made it a breeze to release tension on the belt before removing from the main pulley and doesn't require using both hands. The last thing is the blades are not compatible between my older and the new 42" deck. I wish Cub's 42" decks all shared the same blades.
Aside from these grips the 42" deck leaves a beautiful signature Cub cut and is great for a terrain that is not golf course smooth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you have grass to mow and not alot of time to do it, my XT2 special addition with the kawaski 18 hp always gets the job done. Even with the mulch kit on I never have to slow down due to lack of power.And if that isn't enough I purchased a trac drive 26 in. cut snowblower. I plan to blow some snow back into Mother Nature face this winter. I can't get enough of Cub Cadets.

3204 tractor with a 42 in deck
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] have used this tractor in home use (initially a 1 acre+ yard) then at several churches with an athletic field and now at a 1/2 acre home yard -- have pulled stumps, moved heavy equipment and pulled tons of trees (cut and whole) -- just keeps going and cutting and hauling -- service guy calls it 'The Beast' -- beats any/all of the new models!

Good value
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my original one 7 years ago, and other than an initial problem with the spindle, all I’ve had to replace is blades and belts. Now on my 2nd one, with the original one running around the yard with the deck removed just pulling a trailer. I fully expect to use this one for another 7 years!

Best tractor I've had in 40 years

Love the mowing in reverse

it like to rear up need some weight in front
