Re-thinking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this 2 years ago. This mower is NOT durable.I mow approx.1 flat acre every 10 days for 7 months of the year. I have to fix something on it every time I use it. I'm leaning towards a different replacement due to the lack of reliability.My son has one identical to this one, It's also very unreliable.I also have a zero turn RTZ46. It's a little better but not by much.

Good tractor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this for two years it’s a good tractor I wash it came with a hard cover for the winter with a windshield and attach electrical heat
Also I customized the snow thrower with 4 wheels with ball bearings so it can turn easily in the snow
And it would be great if it had 4 wheel drive and to make chains for the front tires and a switch to shut off the lights

Hard to keep a level cut
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have taken it to 2 different authorized repair shops, will cut level for maybe 2 cuts. Then it goes back to cutting uneven. Air pressure is at recommended psi. I have a pretty flat yard to cut. Bought extended warranty but was told that it didn’t cover uneven cuts. Until it can stay cutting level on a consistent time period, I wouldn’t recommend this mower.

Great Lawn Tractor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I baught my tractor to take care of just my lawn, but since then i have ended up mowing the 2 neighbor's on both sides of me because their non-Cub Cadet mowers have broken. Other than normal blade replacement and oil and filter replacement I havent had to do a thing to it. If I every do wear it out I will definately by another. Maybe a Zero turn this time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 4th year using this mower. It has 145 hours use. The mower has always started good and runs well at all speeds. My only complaint is that it does not cut my lawn evenly. I have made all measurement checks to the cutting deck but never have improved uneven cutting. I just have to mow criss cross and then straight , but I still like it mostly!

I have really look the tractor over and feel that it is built heavy duty. In a few months, I will give it the real test. It is built for comfort and good cutting abilities. Great Mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this mower for 3 years and have only one issue. The factory blades are thin and wont take any abuse. A heavy aftermarket set fixed the problem, and I have had zero issues otherwise.Also it steers so easy it's like it has power steering. The feature that lets you lock reverse mowing for the duration beats the push every time on other brands.

Excellent low cost mower

Best Lawn Care Purchase!

Almost zero turn!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this about three years. I lost a bolt holding the seat, but that was an easy fix. The mower turns on a dime and does a great job. The undercarriage is easy to level, something I’ve done several times. The blade washing feature is nice as well. Overall, a good mower especially for the price compared to Deere and a few others!

First impressions great.

The EFI starts really easy even when cold. The only complaint is that the side discharge throws the grass too far. I’m betting I won’t be complaining once I put a bagger on this mower.

speed and turning radius.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the XT1 42. I hadn't cut my grass in 3 weeks so it was thick and tall. With the Craftsman 46" I had I would have had to remove the deck cover to mow and put it back on and mow again to mulch the clippings. The Cub Cadet blew through the thick grass like a hot knife through butter and left absolutely NO clippings behind WITHOUT the mulch kit, I was ecstatic. I was also very impressed by it's speed and turning radius. I have at least 10 large spruce trees and I would usually push mow around them to reach underneath them. The Cub Cadet's 42" deck and tight turn radius took care of that. It started right up after I got it home and runs flawlessly. I'm very impressed with it and I'm glad I spent the extra money because it cuts the grass evenly and looks great when I'm done. I have 1.5 acres with lots of trees and actually look
forward to cutting my lawn

Great quality, easy to use

Change the oil, grease it, and change the air filter, and that’s it. Just operates flawlessly. Haven’t had to change the blades yet but I don’t anticipate difficulty. Oh, and it cuts grass like a champ and maneuvers like a cat. :-)

It says Fuel Injection on the Hood!

Starts at the push of button, lots of power and uses hardly any more gas than my old 21 inch personal pace walk behind. Quickly mows the lawn, pulls a sweeper in the fall, have used it to pull up brush and old poles. Great value. Convinced my boss to buy one.

Best mower I've owned

Handles very well i love the intella power throttle easy adjustments on the deck and the high back on the seat is an awesome feature not many lawn mower manufacturers offer and I love it! Excellent features and reliable.

I have an acre of grass, half of it on an incline, that needs to be mowed at least once a week from April to November. I have owned Craftsman, Dayton and Toro lawn tractors and this is the best of the lot.

Awesome so far!

1. The steering. It is so tight and smooth it's like having power steering.
2. The reverse switch that allows continuous reverse mowing.
3 The throw of the deck. It may be far for to some, but it helps prevent clumping.

Best Buy I Could Make
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my first Cub Cadet in March. I feel it’s more machine than the green and yellow one I had before. Cut is a vast improvement. At this level mower it is the only one I found that had cruise control. That was something I really wanted with my yard size but I did not think I could find it in my budget. The higher seat back is a pleasant surprise. Never paid much attention to it but it really feels better with that support. The turn radius is awesome. When I mowed for the first time this year, this Cub made my yard immediately look as tho I had been mowing for a month. I usually mow twice a week because I am that guy who hates a shaggy spot in my yard. What I used to co spider a chore I will now be doing because I enjoy it. Just bought the mulch plug and I will be installing that in a couple weeks. Anxious to see the lawn then. Thanks Cub Cadet. Well done.

LOVE this TRACTOR

Powerful and the turn radius is super tight for around trees. Fits through my single gate fence with room to spare. The seat is comfortable on my bad back and steers like a dream. The reverse cutting is an AWESOME plus!!!

Best I ever owned

I had a part replaced last year and the Company honored the warranty with no cost to me, in which I always have problems with warranty work on other products due to Georgia not having any laws to protect the consumer.

Incredible lawn tractor

I use it year round thanks to the optional snow plow attachment, chains and weights.
It pushes heavy wet snow with no problem as long as you use the chains and weights for traction.
My brother liked it so much that he also bought one.

My First Cub Cadet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first Cub Cadet Tractor, after having had another brand for almost 25 years. I bought this to have something good for my retirement years. We bought this in September, and it did very well. The next spring, we found mice had gotten in the tractor over winter and chewed the wiring. The local Cub Cadet Repair Shop took care of warranty replacement of some wiring, and it ran well after that. The following spring, I had difficulty in starting the engine, and came to find out the choke plate was stuck in the open position.
After 25 years of having push lawn mowers and garden tractors, this has never happened to me. I eventually got the plate freed up, put some "Mechanic in a Bottle" in the gas tank, and so far it starts first time and runs very well.
I am very happy with the quality of cut, steering, and handling, it is just the problems with the choke that bothers me.

Great mower for the price.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Cub Cadet 42" cut tractor that I have purchased. The tractors are great, hydrostatic transmissions are wonderful. I am impressed with the new LED headlights. The only complaint I have is that the deck is not constructed well enough. A welded deck should be offered for this width cut.

Disappointed in the motor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my Cub Cadet with the 18hp Kohler Courage motor and two months after the warranty was up the motor was trash. The dealer I took it to said that is the first one he's seen where the casing cracked around the crankshaft. The mower had been a good mower but this left a bad taste in my mouth.

Easy to use, fairly easy to maintain.

However the air filter seal is a pain and it will leak gas. I need a new carb for the motor already and the battery did not last more than 2 years. I suspect an issue in the charging circuit.

Have to wait for a turn!

Has lasted!

Have had to replace mower deck spindles, PTO cable, PTO lever, the tires all leak air now. Other than fixing these wear items, nothing other than maintenance has been required. Very nice and comfortable mower for the long haul.

Works well ... cutting hights seem low
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for around a month and mowed my 1/2 acre lawn three times. I need to put the cutting hight at 4" to keep it from cutting too close. It is OK at that level so I'm not trying to figure iout why ... maybe the mowewr deck range can be adjusted ... I don't know. Otherwise woorks fine.
