Cub Cadet XT2 LX46
Not only is the Cub visually appealing with the front end reminiscent of a transformer, its robust design features like the tough looking cutting deck on the XT2 LX46, turning capabilities and comfort seat makes one feel like wanting to easily cut acres of lawn. Probably the most important feature is the location of the forward and reverse controls on the floor deck. This attribute not only frees up your hands for more control of the operation of the equipment, it also allows for more multitasking like operating the front end snow thrower that I will eventually add to my unit, once available.

Great mower just assembled poorly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great mower after I fixed a few things on it. The mower itself is great but was not assembled very well by the dealer. Steering wheel was not bolted down correctly, battery connections were loose, and the seat was not attached correctly either. Other than that I love this mower.

Pleased with the purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this about a week or two ago. Used it twice so far and am pleased with the quality of cut. Bought it for the heavy duty trans axle and deck in comparison to the store bought models. Rated a couple categories as 4's due to the lack of center anti scalping rollers on the front and rear of the deck. Other than that super pleased.

Seems to be a quality piece of equipment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After researching lawn tractors quite a bit, there was no way I was going to purchase a big box model of Cub Cadet or any other manufacturer. I saw differences enough to make purchasing an XT2 from a Cub Cadet dealer worth the price difference. I have only cut our yard 3 times so far, but it has been flawless...even better than the professionals I had previously been paying to cut it.

Scalps My Grass On Sloped Terrain...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The One Star is due to the scalping I've experienced since I purchased my new Cub Cadet XT2 LX 46 within the past month. I really didn't need a 46" cut for my lawn but I wanted the Kawasaki 21.5hp engine in place of the 18.0 hp on the smaller 42" cut XT2. I found out that since I have a mixture of sloped terrain as well as level areas at my home when I mow that it scalps the grass on the lower side of the deck. My problems seem to have started by my shopping for a mower with a heavy duty fabricated mowing deck. I've never had an issue with a pressed deck when it comes to getting a clean cut of my lawn. The Cubs looked great when I was shopping for a new riding lawn mower but my problems began once I purchased the mower and did my first cut on my lawn where I found out that on a slight slope with my yard that the deck would shift enough to scalp the grass on the lower side of the deck which I had never experienced with my previous riding mowers with a pressed deck. I called the dealer I purchased from and the lady told me that was natural due to gravity and the weight of the fabricated deck that it would shift on a slope causing the closer very visible cut difference, supposedly she checked with their service guy and he confirmed it also. I've still not convinced that it's not an adjustment with the deck that would clear up this problem at this moment I'm not getting any help with the issue from my Cub Cadet dealer so for now I can't rate this mower higher than One Star. Personally I take a lot of pride in taking care of my lawn and I'm extremely disappointed in the mower as it is currently mowing for me.

Kawasaki motor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the xt2 lx46 because of the Kawasaki engine and fabricated deck. Should outlast me. Cut the yard 2 times and is great. Only 4 stars because the mulch kit is on backorder, hopefully comes soon.

Difficult Starting
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it can be a little difficult to start from time to time. At first I thought it was moisture in the air but I think it is if I run it a little higher on the choke and not running on idle long enough so that it acts like the motor is flooded. Is that correct with this model?

Won't stay running without choking
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I have not been happy with my Cub cadet. When I first got it a couple of years ago it had two issues. The first was that it would not charge or hold a charge. So when I called my dealer they said the part was on backorder and I would have to wait for the part to come in. It finally came in the next spring and when I took it in They replaced the part that was causing it to not hold a charge. However they said the battery was ruined and I had to buy a new battery.
The second problem is that is just runs poorly. I use the choke to start the mower. Then it warms up and I push the choke all the way in. It will run like a champ for about 3 to 5 minutes and then it stalls. I have to full choke it to start it again but as soon as push the choke it stalls. So then I have to spend the rest of time while mowing playing with the choke. When it starts to stall I pull out the choke. I find a sweet spot where it sounds like the mower is running great and I can make one pass on my yard. Then I either have to push the choke in or out just a millimeter and I spend the rest of the time playing with the choke to get my lawn mowed.
Also the adapter for mulching is not built very well. The grass pushes out past the plug. I have had to stop mowing and tried to put it back it. The little tab that holds it in place finally broke. To me it just looks like the mulching plug is poorly designed.
Wish I would of gotten a different brand. This has not been a pleasure to own

Becoming a disappintment.
Bought this mower in 2019. This year it has started breaking belts. Can't seem to get the issue corrected. I considered buying another mower but the same mower is $1,400 more than it was 4 years ago. Now that is inflation! I would not recommend to a friend until I can get it fixed and be certain it is dependable.

Love tractor, but reverse pedal pad falls off
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve purchased my tractor 3 weeks ago and have mowed 3 times. Runs great, starts right up every time. One thing, the reverse pedal pad has fallen off the last two times and now is missing, a new one is coming, I’m wondering if this is a warranty issue?
