Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost fun to cut the grass [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking to buy a zero turn for a couple of years but didn't like the price tag for a good mower. I owned a Cub Cadet 2166 tractor that gave me 16 years of service only requiring minimal repairs. After seeing the ZT1 50 I knew this was the mower that I wanted to buy and I'm glad I did.The mower cuts even and when the grass is high doesn't bog down. The only negative is the access panel to the deck is bolted and hard to remove making it difficult to remove grass clippings from deck drive train.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Both mower and service, outstanding [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mower is awesome. Has 50" cut width. Off center blades to easily circle trees and corners. Open spot to step down off vehicle easily. Single foot press to raise deck over obstacles without changing cut height or moving hands from steering. Had from pickup damaged console and rip in seat. Couldn't of been easier reaching out for service. Parts shipped directly to me without any hassle. I replaced an older Ariens zero turn. It was time. Very happy with ease of use, speed of mower, controls are great. Also love the adjustable angle of the handles to my comfort level. Also being able to adjust forward stop screw so both handles line up evenly moving forward or reverse.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Run and drives good, cut is ok but not real good. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought if Feb. 2019 and have 24 hours, The cut is ok but dose leave some uncut grass on the discharge side but not bad. My main objection is there is not any gas gauge and you cannot see tank to tell how much gas you have just have to fill up every mowing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exemption value and quality. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mower about 2 months ago. I have approximately 4 acres to mow. Seems like each acre is a different terrain. There is kosha out by the pond, prairie grass near the house and newly planted blue grass out back. This mower never skips a beat. It has cut my mow time by half! I researched the heck out of zero turn mowers. I'm very happy with my choice and look to many years of worry free mowing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth operator [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my 50” two months ago. Couldn’t be happier cuts much fast than my old Z force (which was also good, just old). Love the backup feature allowing your deck to stay engaged, thus eliminating the stress of stopping and starting the system each time! Great purchase, especially for the price point! Also big thanks to the people at Precision Power for all the knowledge and help purchasing my new mower. They are very knowledgeable about their product and point you in the right direction as far as needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cub Cadet ZT1 50 Zero Turn Mower, I have been using this for 2 Months and I am satisfied with the purchase. Recommend Yes The Good: Easy to maintain. Easy Start,Comfortable, stable, feels safe for adult The Bad: Front Tires are not solid but pneumatic, got a flat tire and front tire came loose, hard to put tire back on. Does not cut grass clean on first pass, it takes 2 passes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from More to be desired! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let's see... I have used this mower four times now and have put 11.6 hours on it. Okay let's start with looks.. it is hands down the best looking mower out there, besides the spartan mowers. Good power from the Kawasaki motor. Its pretty quiet. Its quick. Turns well. Seat is comfy... Now the bad.. the deck has a lot of vibration which is not something I like at all.. the head lights need a toggle switch. The gas tank needs a fill level indicator of some sort because you literally have to pull the seat over or open the gas cap to see the fuel level, which you can not do while on the mower. The oil changes are messy not because of the oil plug because they actually put a tube which makes that part pretty easy.. but the oil filter is a huge mess to change and not very well thought out. The choke lever is in the wrong location. Every time I go to pull the PTO I catch myself wanting to pull the choke and have to hunt for it.. and the blades are definitely not the best because you have to mow the same area twice.. Now over all.. It's an attractive mower that is worth the money. And I would buy it again.. I probably wouldn't recommend to a friend because of the bad things about this mower. But if its reliable then I would definitely recommend this.. but i only have used it 11.6 hours.. so time will tell..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Mower, I cannot wait to cut the grass! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had just purchased a Cub Cadet ZT1 42" Riding mower. After 3 hours of use I could not stop thinking about this zero turn. I sold the rider and purchased this mower. I have no regrets and love it! the grass can't grow fast enough. It makes cutting the grass fun and not such a chore. Plus you can get a nice looking professional lawn with this bad boy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Great Mower, Great Features" [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchase this mower Spring '19 after reading many, many reviews. Had a White zero turn that I was replacing. The reviews didn't lie! This zero turn is a pleasure to use. Great mowing position, comfortable, easy start, great handling, will float over wet areas and is easy to clean after you've finished with the hose port on the forged deck. Plenty of power for all your mowing needs. It takes me 1/3 of the time to do my lawn now, part of that could be that you can even mow in reverse! And if the light gets low, two headlights on the front crossbar give you all the light you need to finish things up! Just purchased a rear bagger at the end of the season, can't wait to try it next mowing season! No, out to snowblow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well when you need it to [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased my ZT1 50 late April 2020 for a 1.3 acre yard. With roughly 30 hours on it, I’m very happy with the purchase. Kawasaki motor is powerful and I’ve yet to find something to bog it down. While I don’t have a lot to compare to with regard to other zero turns, it does seem a touch clunky and unrefined, (deck connection points are noisy and certain parts required greasing with only 5-10 hours on it) but it does everything I’ve asked it to do and my lawn looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet - ZT1 50 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have hade the mower for 6 weeks and have used it 5 times and it works great. I did have to get use to the z-turn but now that I am it is the only type of mower I would ever get. It is over kill for my yard size but I will be mowing some other yards in the area. I worked for a company that sold Cub Cadet products so I knew I had to have the thicker "Fab" deck and the 50" was the smallest they presently have, I wanted a 42" "Fab" deck but it was not available now.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice mower just doesn’t cut well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it in beginning of spring. So far I’m not super happy on how it cuts. Seems to trail and leaves mohawks. Which means u don’t get 50in u get half the deck cause u have to go back over what u just cut. My zforce mower cut better then this brand new one

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this machine!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super easy to use. I love the deck lift so you can ride over obstacles. Quick removal of the floor board makes it very easy to clean! I use a blower to remove all the grass clippings. Makes Mowing FUN! Cut my mowing time in half!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything it seemed to be and better [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a month ago. This was my first zero turn machine. After using 4 times I am very comfortable operating this unit on my not so perfect property. It handles the uneven terrain better than expected without feeling out of control

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good, [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have only mowed my 2 acres 3 times since I bought the mower. It operates and runs great. The part I like best is that it now only takes 2 hours for what used to take 5 with my 42" cut rider. Just hope that it lasts the test of time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After listening to my nephew for several years that I needed a zero turn mower, I finally purchased the ZT1 50 and found it to be a great mower. The zero turn takes some learning on how to drive but is well worth the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive upgrade to an already good mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already own a 2009 ZTR50 which has been and still is a good reliable zero turn mower so I really didn’t need another. I walked into the big box store and saw the ZT1 50 and was in awe of the beefy frame and the simplicity of the design! As I checked it out in detail, the nice high back seat, the manufactured deck, the new deck lift controls and the ease of access to the motor and to the deck pulleys I could feel my hand reaching for my wallet. I went to the service desk and bought it then went home and got my truck and trailer and went back to the store and picked it up, yes without going online and reading reviews for hours. I’ve owned a cub cadet zero turn for 10 years so I already knew what to expect from this new mower, a good cut and a reliable motor. We’ve mowed our 2.5 acres with it 8-10 times now and it has not disappointed us in any way. The cut is nice and even and the new aero force deck is like a grass clippings recycler, it throws out very small clippings so no need for a mulching kit. The steering is a lot more responsive and accurate than my old ZTR and faster. The new high back seat and the bigger thicker control arm grips reduce vibration nicely, very comfortable mower. All of the adjustments are easy to change to fit different size people. Did the first oil change and it very easy, everything on the motor is readily accessible. I really like the fact that the floor panel is easily removed for access to the top of the deck for cleaning and maintenance. I also like the fact that I can mow in reverse, it’s a time saver. My old ztr mower is now a backup mower and will be used for leaf mulching in the fall. For the price level I don’t have anything negative to say about the ZT1 50, it’s one heck of a mower and looks awesome too! Everything I wanted my ZTR 50 to be the ZT1 50 is and more, Thanks Cub Cadet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Zero Turn and I love it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my zero turn in May of this year and now wonder why it took me so long to get one. Used to take me 45 minutes to mow and now it’s down to 20. This is my 3 rd Cub Cadet. Wouldn’t buy anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent residential zero turn [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have about 17 hours on this beast so far. Absolutely love the machine. Very smooth and cuts beautifully. I did a lot of research prior to landing on the Cubby. I’m glad I went with this for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mower, with minor set backs! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a little over a month ago. It's a great mower that does exactly what I bought it for. However, there are a few things I wish would have been different. 1st: It comes with no armrest. I know you can buy some, but that's not the point of buying a new mower. 2nd: The deck seems to vibrate a lot when starting up the blades. This doesn't seem like a huge problem right now, but a year or so from now, it probably will be.
