Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needs service [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As of right now it is a 2 star rating due to the fact that I keep getting E205 error code and can't get the blades to engage. I still haven't been able to use it for an entire cutting. Now I have to take time to take it to the dealer to get it fixed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generally, I like this mower a lot I like this mower a lot. The only two things I see that are problems for me are this: 1. The mower blade stalls when mowing on a slight slope seemingly as the mower deck seems clogged. So, I have to back the mower up, restart the blade and try again. 2. The height setting seems to be not high enough at its maximum height for Florida St Augustine grass. Maybe the weight of this mower being more heavy and with me sitting on makes it ride that much lower? It would have been better if there was a another height level higher than level 5. Bear in mind that vast Augustine grass is kinda springy in and of itself.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not informed enough I purchased this a week ago and usually do not write reviews unless my concerns identify issues that should have been addressed prior to purchase. I used the mower once and it performed OK. Issue #1 - while doing my research on going electric vs gas riding mower, I would have put more consideration regarding charging capabilities. The instruction manual states in can be plugged in a regular outlet. However that outlet should be a 220. My research did not indicate the charging capacity. The male plug on the charger is a 220 plug so does not fit a 110 outlet. No adaptor available. This means you need to have a 220 outlet. I do have a 220 outlet for my portable generator. This means I would have to make some electrical changes. Issue #2 - The owners manual indicates that your mowing area should not be greater than a 12 degree Slope. I wish I would have known that prior to purchasing this model. I do not have a big lawn and electric riding mowers are pricey so I thought I was doing the ecological thing but if it doesn't do the mowing required, what good is it. I was able to mow my lawn but needed to get some momentum going up the hill. Issue #3 - The owners manual indicates a 7 year life span for this mower. Not a very good return for my investment. Again my research prior to my purchase did not indicate such a short life expectancy. I do not want to sound so negative but prior to your purchase consider the issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our first mowing season the battery wouldn't hold a charge and we had to hire the mowing for 2 months - no compensation. Now we're trying to mulch our leaves and an internal part broke - we are told it will take until december to get the part. Disappointed in the mower and your service time

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great concept, needs improvements [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the cc30e when our XT1 died in August. We have a few issues. we are short and have small feet which means the seat is all the way up to reach the pedals. First issue, seat is so hard to adjust and even though it's all the way forward, we still need a pillow behind our back to reach the pedals , was much easier on the XT1. The pedals are not adjustable, they forward and reverse pedals are too far spaced apart. The other issue is the switch under the seat is so sensitive every bump in the yard makes the seat go up causing the mower the cut off. Speaking of bumps, weres the suspension. There isn't any. It's a rough ride compared to our beloved xt1. You feel every bump. Which brings up the bagger. We loved the XT1 bagger, the bagger that came with the cc30e has 2 issues. First, the latch system, doesn't latch and you hit a bump and the top comes up and you don't know it until you turn around to realize it. Problem 2, unlike the XT1 bagger, there's no way to tell when it's full. It's a good idea, but poor executed. Due something so expensive, it should be a while lot better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blades won’t engage [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this mower for about 5 years and it’s had all kinds of issues that have been fixed under warranty which I can’t complain about but now the blade won’t engage and come to find out after poking around the yellow square button is broken . Pulled it off and still won’t work . Don’t want to spend a significant amount of money fixing because I just went ahead and bought a gas mower , but can’t seem to find that particular part so I can’t, at least , try to fix and get a few bucks for it . Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great purchase that is a true back saver! I bought this for my husband who has a back problem. Pushing around a walk behind mower really aggravated the pain. He truly loves the Cub Cadet CC30E. The slim profile allows him to ride the mower throuogh our 38 inch gate opening as he makes his way from the backyard to the frontyard. The charge is enough to mow our 1/4 acre lot. He also loves the fact that he does not have to lift a gas can.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had over 3 years - is not reliable at all I have had this in the shop over 6 times and each time it takes 2-4 weeks to get it back. Accelerator errors, cut deck issues, uneven cuts, brakes etc. I have a .3 acre lawn and alot of the times it fails before I am able to finish, the last time the shop returned the mower to me they said to not use mulching since the motor cannot handle it. My self propelled 21 inch electric mower from another compay has been used more than the rider

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The ride and drive ability. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never had a riding mower before. But I can say the ride of this mower is not smooth. If you’re a lot has a lot of bumps or uneven surface expect a rough ride. Also it is difficult to keep the throttle at an even pace. The only way you can maintain an even pace is by using the cruise control and you can’t use that all the time. I must say I am not disappointed because I like the idea of an all electric mower and it has performed well in that regard. But I think that the touchiness of the throttle pedal needs to be addressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CC30E Rocks! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this mower, completes my yard quietly with 50 percent battery. Pulls a small garden wagon around with ease. Thanks Cub Cadet!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Buggy - cannot mow .5 acres [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in May 2020 and had repeated problems. Shuts down due to safety devices in the seat or on mowing deck and will not start back up. I cannot mow .5 acres without it stopping and me having to go back to the push mower to finish it. Repair folk do not find issues. I wish I had not bought this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VERY CAPABLE MOWER I BOUGHT AND USED MY CC30 ALL OF LAST YEAR'S CUTTING SEASON AND I AM VERY PLEASED WITH ITS PERFORMANCE. MY ONLY CONCERN IS THAT I COULD NOT MOW IN REVERSE. THE MOTOR WOULD DIE AS SOON AS I TRIED THE REVERSE CUT. IT MAY BE THAT I'M DOING SOMETHING WRONG SO I'LL TRY AGAIN THIS YEAR AND CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR THEIR OPINION.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice job [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My neighbor needed a mower. I showed her my CC30H and she loved how easy it was to drive. I told her they also had an all electronic model in this size as well the CC30E. She bought the electronic version. I took it for a spin was really shocked how quiet it was compared to the gas model. I mean it was REALLY QUIET. anyway I just wanted to say I think cub cadet did a really nice job and I was so happy watching her enjoy her independence. 2 thumbs up from me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cub mini 30 inch electric [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cub mini is amazing. It mows like a champ even the thick stuff. The mulcher works like a charm and the electric motor is easy to clean and lasts over an hour. I would highly recommend for towing stuff ad well. It will not mow steep hills and tends to want to slide on a steep slope but it's really a marvel I'm so impressed with the quality of the machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awesome idea, but it's not going to end well. My spouse LOVES using this. But the battery failed after a couple years. That was replaced under warranty, but only because I have a sympathetic dealer close by. Cub Cadet will not answer calls. And then I find out that these batteries need to stay charged all winter, and that the charger doesn't WORK in the winter! (Under 40F). And, now the charger is flashing a red light that indicates a charging fault. And --- now it's giving an error code E108 that means some odd control problem that I won't be able to fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 100% Satisfied [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the CC30e about a month ago after doing a lot of research on electric mowers. I have only used it once to cut about 1/4 acre lawn. I do have some hilly areas, about 8% slope, and the mower had no problem climbing up the slope. Cut was perfect with the mulcher. Finished cutting in about 20-30 minute (didn't really time my self) and only used 40% of the battery capacity. Mower performed flawlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect mower for my yard! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this riding lawnmower 6 months ago and couldn't be happier. I have 3/4 acre property and this really fits the bill. What makes this mower great has to do with my Cub Cadet Dealer here in Fort Smith AR. Always friendly and helped me out when I damaged the key.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from unsatisfactory delivery Poor packing Left out charger and couldn't get charger sent for 2 weeks later. No reason given for delay until I got tired of waiting and inquired to parts and then was informed they were closed for inventory.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible quality and service [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower in June and it broke about 2 weeks later when I was in the middle of the second time using it. The repair process started out well as I was able to find a service center that could pick it up in the area. They quickly determined the problem and were told that the needed part would not be available until mid-August. I called for an updated on 8/16 and they are now being told that the part will not be available until the end of September (~3 months from the time the mower broke). Cub Cadet was completely unhelpful in coming up with any alternative solutions, the mower is outside of the return window (and not even in my possession) and I'm now stuck without a product I spent several thousand dollars on during the time it is needed most.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't Buy. Go with Gas Powered Mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to use this mower. It has so much power and fun cutting the grass until one day it gave up on me. The shop thought it was the main panel (mother board) at first so they replaced, then found a new error. They were told by Cubcaddet to get all the cables to be replaced. It's been in a shop for 2 weeks now and they can't even tell if this is fixable for another month parts being backordered. Paying $3000 for a mower which doesn't work any more is very frustrating. I loved it while it was working but had I known the type of problems with electric mower, I had definitely went with a.gas powered mower. Lesser maintenance (oil change, etc.) sounded attractive but I regret buying this now. Don't waste your money. Stay away from electric.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Has problems Seat faults, acceleration faults, self test faults. Bought in Feb 21. Dealer delivered it around the end of May. I’ve been able to mow with it 1 time. Has 7 hours on it now and dealer has had it for a week. Display says Press start….but nothing happens. Battery is fully charged. It is so unreliable that I had to repair my 35 year old Simplicity mower so I could cut the grass. Told the dealer I’d like a refund but doubt that’s going to happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy to operate [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mower was the perfect size for my yard. The cut is smooth and clean. NO gas NO oil NO spark plugs NO mess. I just unplug and cut. 25 minutes later I’m done. It’s so easy and fun to operate I may even cut my grass twice a week. I recommend buying the bag attachment. No need to change out the blade it’s a 3 in 1. Side discharge, mulch or bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll never go back to gasoline! I used this CC30E over the summer. Great lawnmower, easy to use, cuts good, and the bagger works well. Nice not having to worry about worn belts, filters and tune-ups. Starts every time! My only complaint is that there is no suspension to cushion the bumps. The seat needs springs to make the ride suitable for people with back problems. I prefer it to my tractor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good mower battery life is great so far. Had to deflate tires a little to substitute for lack of suspension. I have a hilly yard. I cut about a half acre with it uses about 20 percent of charge each cut. I am 6 foot tall male and i fit on it pretty ok but i do wish the seat would go back a little further.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Reliability???? Had this quiet mower from a local dealer in Owen Sound Ontario. Worked well for about more than 2 months until it died. Dealer took it. Not a word from them until called. Only to be informed mower needing parts. Did not mention what the problem is. Called them twice already and dealer seems not helpful. I am paying monthly installment on this. Frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower 5 years ago and it has been a champ. I love that I don't need gas and oil and maintenance is minimal. I keep my blade sharp and like my grass about 3i inches high versus the 3/4 inch height recommended. I have a spreader and wagon to use with the mower and they go well together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the mower for about a month and really like it. In my opinion it could be improved even more with a conversion of the speed control to the hands. The foot control is difficult to manage because the mower is so responsive. Controls like a mobility scooter would make it so nice.
Date published: 2021-07-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size and comfortable to drive [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Drives very comfortably and mulching blades work great. I gave it four stars because when you go in reverse and the blades stop, they don’t start up again on their own with forward motion. The button for the blades is not as conveniently located as a previous electric motor we owned.
Date published: 2022-07-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a lot quieter than gas powered ride-on mowers so that is a plus. The operation of the machine is pretty simple and we were able to mow right away. The only small thing I would complain about right now is the seat is too shallow - I wish they would have made it a little deeper.
