Must have, should be a Standard feature -
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to install. Comes with everything you need. I was shocked that this was not a standard feature anymore. Installation took a total of 15 minutes. This is a must have, a little upset that I had to buy this as an add-on.

Critical to all equipment
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this should be standard on all their mowers. I had to purchase it seperatly but it was nice to have free installation prior to the dealer delivering my mower. It is critical to maintaining a good maintenance schedule.

Where is the Hour Meter?
I just got the ZT1 delivered yesterday. I can’t believe Cub Cadet does not install an hour meter on a machine that cost as much as I paid. Why do I have to pay extra for an hour meter and install myself if I want to know exactly when I should maintain this beauty of a machine?

Perfect meter

4k plus machine and no hour meter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased a brand new ZTR 54 P and no hour meter on it. Why would you make a machine, that requires service in hour intervals, without an hour meter on it, especially for the fact that it is factory harnessed for it.

It works, but be careful to orient it correctly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works well and was reasonably easy to install, instructions notwithstanding. I was not expecting how small the display was, but it's readable. As expected, it's tough to see in direct sunlight. Unfortunately it's possible to install the meter upside down - there is no indication of which way to pop the meter into the cutout. I had to connect all the wiring and power the mower in order to determine the "top" of the meter, then disconnect everything again to install it. I was also surprised I had to replace the switch label to accommodate the new meter. It seems that a removable plastic cover could have been installed originally, which could be popped out when people install the meter. Then there would be no confusion, no potential for misaligning the new label (which I did) and no need to print multiple labels in the kit. Of course, the BEST thing would be to include the hour meter with the mower so users wouldn't need to buy and install it in the first place.

Plug and Play Straight out of the Box
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The module unit is plug and play straight out of the box however the replacement label included did not work for my Ultima zts1 zero turn mower. If the label had been correct there is no question it would be 5 stars.

Ultima Hour Meter

Really let down by cub cadet
I bought the 46” XT1 lawn tractor and am furious that it is the more expensive of the XT1s and the only one that doesn’t have an hour meter. What is the expense for? I wanted to be a cub cadet fan boy. Going to push the Toro now. They are far superior it would seem

Does what it’s suppose to and easy install.

Nice and easy hour meter

Considering how much you spend on a new riding, or zero turn mower this meter never should have had to be purchased separate. The kit itself is simple/easy to install. Seems to do what it's basically for. Just a bad move not being built in new mowers....

Easy install
Easy install. I didn't use the new decal that came with it. Just trimmed decal around existing plug,removed dummy plug, then snapped the hour meter into place. Had it installed in about 5 minutes. Not sure why these are not installed at the factory.

Good addition for oil change intervals.

Cub Cadet Hour meter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hour meter was very easy to install. Pop the ignition switch and PTO off. Pull the old sticker off and the connector for the hour meter is right there after you unscrew the cover.

Work and fit
The hour meter fits the Cub Cadet ZTS 1 perfectly. The decals that come with the meter are for a ZT. S is for steering wheel model. Meter works but decals don’t. Left old decals in place and cut hole where hour meter works.

Too small to be useful, don't waste your money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Poorly designed. The meter is too small to read easily. The opening in the chassis would easily support a larger display. Probably add 2 cents to manufacturing cost.
