Why???
How could you you sleep at night knowing how petty you are by omitting the hour meter? I bet you didn’t save $5 per mower by shorting the hour meter. You inserted a cover plate and even attached the wire harness to it.
How shortsighted could your bean counters be?
The hour meter is perfect. It also monitors the voltage and oil pressure, an ability you also inadvertently removed in your quest to save your bottom line approximately $5. Max.

Worth the buy to know your hours.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ultima ZT1 is the first zero turn I have ever purchased, and man is it awesome. This hour meter will help me keep up with estimated maintenance intervals. Also the installation was super easy as the instructions were very informative. No splicing or fabricating needed as there is already a wiring harness and mounting hole already in place on the mower. Couldn't have made it easier if you tried.

Hour Meter kit 490-900-CO75
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased a ZT1 only to fine out there is no "Hour Meter" installed. On further investigation, I find a part number for a Hour Meter Kit (You Tube has the install instructions). Why would you sell a machine whose warranty/maintenance schedule is directly tied to a hour meter reading, and not install a Hour Meter. Ratings would be higher if all parts were installed (Hour Meters)

My Cub Cadet ZT1 2022 model

As everyone else who writes a review, I think that the meter should come as standard equipment, especially since the warranty depends on hours of operation. Make no mistake, I love my Cub Cadet and am very excited about owning one, but not including the meter? Come on friends, was that a bean counter's decision?

Cub Cadet Hour Meter Kit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This item should be standard equipment on a 3600 dollar mower. It is necessary for the conscientious owner to keep track of maintenance intervals. The item arrived in a lightly padded envelope and it was loose from the box within. It was easy to install and the wiring plug for it was already present. Shame on Cub for not including it on their high end mowers.

Hour-Meter /not included with the ZT1 mowers
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the new hour-meter in good condition and it took about 5 minutes to install it. The wires are already in the proper location and just plug in, snap the meter into the space already in the steel panel. Put the new(included) stick-on label over the stock one and you are ready to mow. Now I can moniter the useage to do maintenance at the right time.

Hour Meter
I purchased 2023 zt1 50 mower and am very disappointed that there is not a hour meter attached. I previously owned 2006 zero turn Cub Cadet mower and low and behold it had an hour meter on it. Why have you cut corners and eliminated this feature when you have to service at a certain hour of use? Please advise that I can expect one from Cub Cadet at no charge. Thank you and waiting on your respond.

really like my new ZT1 46.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used a LT 1022 from new, for 20 years on my one acre rough yard. The hour meter had already rolled over back to zero.
At first I was going to replace it with a LT46. I decided to upgrade to ZT1 46. That was a great choice. I really like my new ZT1 46. My mowing time is now half of what it used to be and the fun factor is much greater.

ZT1 Hour Meter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ZT1 Hour Meter was an easy addition, and just a plug in as the wiring and opening were already there. My only complaint is that the ZT! with the Kawaski engine came with the hour meter and mine with the Kohler engine did not. You would think that when all of the maintenance intervals are in hours of use it would be a standard feature.

Hour Meter - Fantastic Product and Easy Install.

The amazing process was how easy it was to install. The wiring harness was already behind the panel. All I had to do was plug it in. I wish all wiring was this easy. Great job on this product. Hour meter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All though this hour meter should have been installed at factory and came with the mower at purchase it was extremely easy to install and with a heat gun the original sticker decal was easy to remove and install the new decal. I gave a 5 star for ease of purchase and installation. Quick shipping. Took about 15 min to install.

Hour Meter Great - Should be included with mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a ZT1 54P mower expecting that the hour meter would be included since that's the measurement used in doing regular maintenance. While the mower and hour meter are great, we would have expected this to be a part of the unit in the first place. Disappointed that Cub Cadet doesn't include this with the mower.

Very easy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hour meter was easy to install. The plug used to connect it is already set up by the factory. It's just a matter of inserting the meter in the pre-drilled slot, applying the new sticker, reinstall the key switch and the pull knob, then plug the wire to the new meter. It's a process that takes maybe 10 minutes.

Basic maintenance life cycle device NOT standard

Considering the machine is significantly priced, but does not have a basic maintenance life cycle tracking device. Very cheap business strategy to get you to spend more afterwards. They would recommend to change oil but no way to track usage.

Easy to install. Good directions. Only complaint is that they didn't install it at the factory... I find the app to be a bit of a pain so I'd rather have an hours meter.
Make sure you install it with the plug outlet shifted to the INSIDE (toward the mower body) so that the hours do not read upside down. I found a good YouTube video that helped out.

Great Price and Super Important for Maintenance

I want my purchase to outlive me, and proper planned maintenance (ie: OIL CHANGES) are hyper-important. This inexpensive little meter keeps me on top of hours run, and was already installed by the local dealer when I picked it up. Thanks, guys!

This should have been installed by manufacture prior to putting mower on market for sale. It is as important as having a battery. Why but why did they not have already installed as a standard item?

The new sticker is easy to put on. The wiring harness is ready for the meter to be installed. This is the one to get. It wouldnt be worth it to get the real cheap meter. Get this one. Youll be done in about 10 minutes.

Same goes with the wash out spout that's not on the mower either. I like my ZT1 mower but not including these essential items makes me think twice about buying another club cadet product.

Easy install, does what it’s suppose to do

Like a few others have mentioned it would have been nice if this item was pre installed on the mower. Not the end of the world as it’s a quick easy upgrade.

Hour meter for zero turn mower.

Little parts like this or the mulching kit i think should be included when you are purchasing such an expensive mower.

Terrible shipping speed.
I ordered this item on July 11th and it is now July 24th. I can't even say this item was a good invement because it still hasn't arrived. I paid $13.98 for faster shipping and still nothing. Find a dealer that had it in stock because ordering from the website is terrible and tracking your shipment gives no updates at all.

Should have been included from factory

This is my one of 3 mowers I use to keep out 10 acres mowed. But as I replace the others they will be with the ZT1 60 inch.

Important maintenance reminders for your engine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Must have for your engine life and maintenance, in my opinion the engine hour timer is one of the best way to remind you when to change your oil and periodically check your components. Preventive maintenance is the key to longevity of your engine and the whole mower.

A breeze to install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can peel back and replace the sticker that comes with the kit or just carefully cut the existing sticker. I just cut the square sticker space out. Took less than 10 minutes to install and works like a charm. Way better then me manually tracking oil change times.
