Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality and poor performance bagger [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased just 14 months ago with my new 42" zero turn mower, I bought this bagger attachment and not at all happy with it. The left bagger tab broke off and had to use a bungy cord to hold it down, and, during mowing my [relatively small] 3/4 acre lot need to stop and unclog the narrow lower chute several times during my 45min mowing. This is VERY annoying! The chute clogging issue is just a poor design in providing a chute with too narrow of a passage in the lower area thus not allowing the clippings getting moved up into the bagger area of two bags and eventually getting compressed and clogging the lower chute. No, I do not cut wet grass, the issue exists on dry grass. You first need to separate the upper clear tube from the lower back plastic chute, then loosen the plastic retaining hand-turning nut to remove the lower chute to clean out the compressed grass clog into one of the two bags, then reassemble and continue mowing. For the upper bagger, the whole bagger relies on C-clips staying clamped onto the metal U-bar support, then hoping that the upper hood doesn't start flying up on you when mowing. In my case, and from others in this feedback chat, one of the two clips that hold down the bagger hood broke off making the hood just fly up when mowing. I'm a design engineer, and the cause is using a too thin plastic clamp and too sharp bend radii that causes high stress zones on this part. A ridiculous failure mode for an accessory that costs nearly $500. If you bump it on anything, the whole unit will fall apart on the metal rail. The first thing to go on the assembly are the tabs that hold the hood down, that was the first to go on mine, then the C-clamps fall off the metal rail. Not good when spending $2,500 on a mower and $500 on a bagger. My 14-month old is ZT1-42 machine is working well so far, but the bagger assembly is poorly designed for grass clearing performance and of poor quality on the bagger hood tabs. Not happy about that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cub Cadet Bagger System Review: Flawless Pe [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cub Cadet Bagger System is an incredible addition to my lawn care routine, delivering flawless performance and transforming my mowing experience. However, the only drawback is the tendency for grass clippings to clump in the shoot. A redesign of this area would make it the perfect bagger system. From the moment I attached the Cub Cadet Bagger System to my mower, it seamlessly integrated and impressed with its exceptional build quality. Collecting grass clippings was a breeze, thanks to the high-capacity bags that minimized emptying stops, saving me time and effort. Installation was simple, with clear instructions provided. The bagger system's compatibility with my Cub Cadet mower ensured a secure attachment without compromising maneuverability. The standout feature of the Cub Cadet Bagger System is its remarkable bagging performance. It effortlessly captures clippings, leaving behind a beautifully groomed lawn. The bags are easy to remove and reattach for quick disposal or mulching. The only downside is the occasional clumping of grass in the shoot, leading to clogs and manual intervention. Although it's a minor inconvenience, a redesign of this area would greatly improve the system's performance and eliminate the issue entirely. Overall, the Cub Cadet Bagger System is an outstanding product that simplifies lawn maintenance. With its flawless performance and convenient features, it's an excellent choice for anyone seeking a reliable and efficient bagger system. A redesign of the clumping issue would make it truly perfect. Highly recommended. Additionally, it's worth noting that despite the minor drawback of grass clumping, the Cub Cadet Bagger System has proven to be exceptionally durable. I have not needed to replace any of the bags or other components, except for the tube connecting the system to the mower, which was easily replaced. This further demonstrates the system's high-quality construction and longevity, making it a worthwhile investment for long-term use.
