42” zero turn Cub Cadet bagger
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Attaching the bagger was not easy even with two people. We ended up going on You Tube to watch videos because some of the instructions in manual were confusing. I have used the bagger three times. The cons: plastic hose attachment falls off sometimes. Make sure you empty baggers often or you will get a clog in the hose and mower deck. Pros: I used it to stick up pine needles as well as leaves and grass and it did a pretty nice job. The lawn looks great with the grass removed, professional. I am very happy even with the cons that I bought this bagger. It’s the newer version that works quite nicely with the 42” mower.

Will require bungee cords after it breaks
This is my 5th riding mower over 40 years.
Seems like I got one of the last 19A700xxx bagging kitty 15 months ago when I bought my ZT1. BTW The current p/n: for the twin bagger is 19B700xxx.
I mow a 1/2 acre level yard that’s bumpy in a few places. Cutting yesterday - bags are heavy when I hit a bump and the bagger lid flies open because both the thin plastic lid tabs broke off.
I’m 4 months out of warranty & call the 800# today. On hold for 20 mins. A nice woman named Essence hears my story. She sends me to a supervisor (Jim) and then the line goes dead. Awesome customer service guys. So here I am. A bit out of warranty and I’m mad. If the “B” model is more robust, can I please get one at a big discount? I will amend this review if it’s the bomb… anyone - buehler?

Poor Bagger
Bought this in 2020 with mower. Falling apart since. Now by 2022 Clips holding bagger broke. Holding on with zip ties. Clip on lid broke so need a bungee cord to hold closed. And flex tube has split.

Bagger: lowpoint of my zero turn experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my cub cadet zero turn mower. The bagger, although having starting out working okay became detached from the mower discharge causing the hose to lodge under the mower. The reinforced hose got flattened in one spot and is now impossible to reshape to it's former self, making it impossible to reattach to the mower. It appears the wingnut that holds the chute in place vibrated loose and has emerged as the root cause of the problem. I highly recommend any cub cadet mower I've owned or used, but I can't recommended this bagger with its current design.

Do not waste your money
I bought this kit last season with my new 42" RZT. It is flumsy and tabs are good for nothing. The many reviewers that stated that it will brake on fall apart after one bump are absolutely correct. I lightly touched the back against the fence and it popped off. But I learned to live with this problem and several cracks and broken tabs. But there is another problem, which may never be fixed. You chute part from bottom all the way to back get constantly clogged up. So you stop not to empty the bags, but to empty clogged chute. I do not think this mover has enough power to push grass thru it to the bags. If grass is very dry and you are cutting very little of the top (1" or less) then it may work for a little while. It sort of a did for the first month or so. But now forget it. I cant even remember when my 2 bags were full to be emptied anymore. Very dissapointing. I am a long time (over 20 years) customer of Cub Cadet.

Works just fine :)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seeing a lot of negative reviews for this.... if you treat it with some respect, understand what it is built for, and stop dad-handling it, it will work just fine. Wet leaves are clogging the chute? It's a grass catcher, maybe wait til the ground dries up if you're collecting leaves. The plastic is flimsy? Recognize that this hangs several feet behind your mower now and stop running it into the side of your house and fences and trees. It "doesn't have enough power" to push anything through? An ultima 42 is pushing nearly 23hp.... ditch the factory blades and get yourself a nice set of high rise mulching blades and it will shoot leaves to the moon. Your balance is off and it's sliding around? Install the counterweight captain lazy.... Used professionally and very happy with it. As said earlier, throw away the stock blades, Oregon makes an extremely affordable set of mulching blades available online anywhere. Only request: the bags need to carry more, they are too small and fill up quick.

Piece of crap
Like everyone else my hood latch broke and I had to rig screws and a bread tie to hold the hood closed. Even when the hood was new it never sealed good and especially when it broke I got more grass blown on me and everywhere else than in the bags. For as much money as you pay you would think it would hold up better. Lasted less than one season. I took it off and it is sitting in my shed in the corner.

Very pleased. Highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with this purchase! I was a little leery because of the prior models negative reviews (plastic clips snapping off), but I can say after several uses I have zero complaints and the “new” latching mechanism works great and feels sturdy. If you’re in need of a bagger, or just want one for convenience, it’s a solid product that I would highly recommend.

Poorly made
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower 2 years ago now. Even then, it took two months to get the bagger attachment, so don’t let the company blame COVID as an excuse. Further, this thing is very flimbsy and made of cheap plastic. If you are mowing a straight yard or bigger with no obstacles or spins, you’ll be fine. However, if you have tight corners, need to go around obstacles, or squeeze through a tight spot, this is not the item for you. If you bump it on anything, the whole unit will fall apart. The first thing to go are the tabs that hold the hood down so grass goes in the bags and isn’t flying around all over the place. That was the first to go on mine, and all I did is bump it against a pole. Now I’m using bungees to hold it down. Next, I had to squeeze into the backyard and the tube lifted slightly and caused the lower chute arm to hit the blades. After that, it wouldn’t stay on right or catch grass. I called the company and the guy laughed and said I’d have to buy a new one when I asked if they could replace it after spending over $3000. Kind of disappointed in the whole thing. Overall, I love the mower (that’s why 2 stars), but the bagger attachment is a piece of garbage!

Best Add On Bagger For ZT1 Series
Purchased the MDL version of this bagger from Home Depot. They insisted that was the correct one for this 360. It simply doesn’t fit the ZT1. Returned it to Home Depot and ordered directly from Cub Cadet. The new bagger fits perfect. Takes time to set up so Be patient. Google a “how too” video on assembly. The installation manual from Cub is not the greatest. But the quality of the equipment is excellent. They even include the front counter weight. Highly recommend you buy the bagger and other attachments from Cub Cadet directly. They also have the best price!

Great Mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 3 days ago. The mower is wonderful. Runs great and leaves the lawn looking nice.
Bagging system on other hand . . . Lets just say a 3 year could design a better system. I appreciate the bags and oversized tubing but there is no way to keep the tubing connected. Thus, you never need to emtpy the bags.
Insert and twist counter-clockwise. This is unreliable and flat-out does not function.
Will be asking for a refund on the bagger. Could not possibly be more unhappy with its performance.

Terrible Flow. Clogs
I bought this to help me save time and it’s terrible. If the grass has ANY Moisture it clogs and you have to remove the chute, tubing and remove the grass. WASTE OF MONEY, but it’s the only Grass catcher available.

Bagger
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It clogs very very easily. Mowed on a Thursday and then again on a Sunday and had to unclog it multiple times even after just cutting the grass. Relatively easy to put together. And wanted to get the “b version” over the “a version” due to the poor reviews. Although I do not have the “a version” I’m not really impressed with the “b version”.

Good luck getting it. I placed the order May 06, and was told it would b here my May 17. After ZERO correspondence from CC i called them. They said, “It is shpposed to be in stock by the end of May. It’ll ship sometime after that”. So maybe i’ll get it in June and maybe not. They seemed not to care one way or the other.

Poor design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just purchased a Zt1 mower and the baggers. Love the mower but first time use of bagger the chute kept coming off even though I had the wing nut tight. The forward pin that goes into a hole keeps coming out ??? Having to stop about every 100’ to reattatch. Not worth the expenditures of this item but will enjoy the zero turn mower

Double Bagger Parts don't work together
I purchased a zero turn zt1 mower and double bagger system for it. upon opening the box I find the bagger is for a tractor not the zero turn. After buying additional parts that adapt the bagger to the zero turn mower the flex tube is to short to reach the bagger from the chute attachment. I'm tired of buying additional parts for this item just to use it.

Love the mower not the bagger.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the mower and bagger for 8 months. The dealer installed the bagger except for the tube that goes from the deck to the bagger. Last fall I needed to install the tube for leaf pick up. I took me 2 hrs to to thread the into the upper plastic bracket I had to use soapy water to get it in. Now I know why the dealer did not connect it.When I was done with leaves I tried to get the tube disconnected from the bracket thats when the bracket broke. I still have not been able to get the tube off. I believe that the nubs that the tube is treaded on is not properly designed. My last mower was a 2 year old cub cadet lawn tractor with
similar bagging system and the tube would screw in and out without a problem

Double Bagger for 42" ZT1
Bought this bagger a week ago! Install of it was a bit confusing from the directions, but thank God for YouTube. Definitely look up on YouTube how to install this and it will go smoothly. Bags looked to be decent quality with a solid base and handle to dump out the grass. Both bags have tears in them after the second use! Never thought that I'd spend $550 only to have bags rip from the inside. Now, I have a new zero turn mower with new bagger, but have two ripped bags with duct tape on them so the grass does not fall out. Is there anything that can be done about having both bags rip immediately? They did not snag on anything and no branches were mowed up. Just spring grass clippings and leaves! Other than that, the bags fill up quick and are good for its normal use!

Much better than previous model!!
This is the second bagger I've purchased for this mower. The first, as everone else has experienced, was horribly deficient. This new model of bagger has remedied those deficiencies (held together with zip ties and bungie cords). While I've only used it for a month, it is obviously a better product. Instead of being made of a few pieces of brittle hard plastic, this new model is made of one piece of rubber type plastic that makes much more sense.
I've only given it 4 stars as the true durability has yet been proven.

Very Good Double Bagger
I receive this new double bagger 42 inch, and by looking at some reviews mentioning that it clogged easily,I decide to use sandpaper 400 grid inside the lower black plastic tube to remove plastic debris and to have glossy inside, (this to prevent grass to get stuck by those debris), then apply good amount of Silicone inside the black and transparent tube all the way to the top cover, after it dry. The grass was little bit wet,so decide to cut the grass, the result was fantastic, nice clean job, no clogging at all

Happy with the purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was unsure about this purchase simply due to some of the poor reviews on it. My neighbor has the same ZT1 42" mower that I have an he purchased one of the baggers first. I used his mower on my lawn and instantly saw what a difference it made with picking up the debris in the yard. I just installed mine and used it yesterday and it worked great! Time will tell on the quality as some have mentioned in previous reviews, but so far I am happy with the purchase.

Works well
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works very well, I love that the discharge hose is huge, the only problem is it keeps coming out of the bagger. It basically screws into the bagger housing and if it is not in there just right it will come out and then your blowing grass all over.

Great mower, questionable bagger
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I read the reviews on the mower both here and other sites. I didn't bother to read reviews on accessories. Good thing or I never would have both them. I bought a ZT1 42 FAB and with it the double bagger and the Xtreme mulch kit. I much spring and summer and bag leaves in the fall. The reviews here are fair. You'd think a company as great a Cub Cadet would do a better job designing and manufacturing accessories and attachments. The assembly instructions aren't great. Without a video I found on YouTube I would have been lost. The assembly doc is printed on the cheapest paper possible and the pictures are too small to make use of. The bagger cover (dome thing) is cheap and flimsy. Reviews suggest the bags deteriorate rapidly. I Just go it so I can't say. The biggest issue is the boot fit. The boot is the hard black plastic tube that mounts to the mowing deck in place of the shoot. The problem is the mounting rod. It's not shaped correctly. I had to beat it with a large metal works hammer to bend it into a shape that would allow the boot to mount to the mowing deck more closely. There's still a small gap in the front. Don't know if I have to plug that up or not as I haven't bagged yet. But I got it to fit pretty good. I don't want to put too much stress on the plastic where the mounting rod bolts to the boot for fear the boot will break in short time. Check out the pictures. The first two pics show the boot with the mounting rod in it's original shape. The third pick shows the rod, beaten straight then angled to pull the boot closer to the mowing deck. I hope this helps others. Again, very disappointed in Cub Cadet over this bagger.

Bagger let’s out clouds of grass “dust”
At my first use of the bagger, the grass “dust” Bermuda half dormant just starting to green up, was blowing out the bags, but wasn’t filling the bags completely(it wasn’t overfilled. I tried putting thick black trash bags in each and seemed to help somewhat. If there are hard plastic baskets to replace the mesh/cloth bags I believe would be better. But, I’ve spent $650 already on the current double bagger and would rathe have these work better. Are there other trouble-shooting / fixes for the issue I’m having?

Very Disappointing
I bought the bagger with my new mower. The bagger is poorly made and the engineers should be ashamed. Pure garbage! The worst one I've owned. Not only is the bagger poor but 30% of the leaves blow out from the deck instead of going up the chute. I might as well use a rake.

Believe the poor reviews
I read all the poor reviews, poorly made, falls apart etc etc and I still made the mistake of spending $500! Right out of the box it’s flimsy and I was already wondering if it will fall apart before the first season ends. It did make it through the first season but 3 cuts into the second season and it’s falling apart. I know duct tape, super glue and zip ties shouldn’t be holding together a $500 plus dollar bagger attached to a $3K mower. I’ll die mulching before I buy another one of these baggers.

42e bagger no go
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The bagger is fine but the 42e mower does not generate enough power to push the grass into the bagger unit.
I gave the bagger 5 stars because it’s not its fault for the mower performance.
